Man. On one hand, I get it. There is nothing good that can come from talking about that abomination Thursday. Its done and over, so lets move on.

On the other, why does this feel like the 2004 Cubs? I know its early and I hope I'm dead wrong, but this has the early makings of a bomb of a season.

My fear is that they've already come to terms on a big contract and are waiting until he has a good game to announce it so they don't get ripped for committing to someone who is largely unproven.

So, Berns and Spiegs had a caller around 10:30 this morning ask if Mitch was intelligent.

He clearly is not. Mitch is a dumbass. Like Berns intimated, he's Tim Tebow-ish.

I don't get it. He's a meathead. He's not going to say anything anyways. All training camp he would repeat what Pace and Nagy told him say.

Wasting a championship level defense by coddling an unproductive QB would be an all time failure, especially when teams like Arizona are cutting bait on highly drafted bad QBs. Have to think a smart veteran QB could run this offense much better at this point. Team is in win now mode and cannot continue to make excuses for weak QB play.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky appears to have very poor instincts. That can be troubling.

I'd slow down on the "Mitch sucks" conclusions.

Mitch reminds me of a dumb jock I knew in high school who went on to have a very nice NHL career.

Not sure if it's "Mitch sucks" as much as it's Mitch should be much farther along than he has shown. He very well may develop into a serviceable NFL QB, but that's not what you expect out of his lofty draft position.

Oh bullshit. Do you not remember how he literally won games by himself by avoiding sacks and running for first down? I guess that was someone else? This crap about (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky that I am listening to are the blabberings of frustrated Bear's fans who can't even see the nose in front of their faces.

You don't trade up for a guy who's remembered for running for a first down. Somehow, Mahomes and Watson look like veterans while Mitch continues to be coddled and the fans continue the waiting game.

Based on what? Take a look at high draft picks in the last ten years or so and tell me how many of them were farther along than he is. He has less than a year and a half of NFL experience. YOu can also count the games that he played his rookie season as a waste of time in all respects. IF you expect a guy like him to be on the same level as veteran all-pro qbs you are nuts.

Time for coddling and making excuses is over. He will either start looking like and NFL QB or holding a clipboard next year.

This can be added to my list of dumb statements but I'm still not sure if Watson is a better option than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Prior to (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's injury last season their stats were identical. Watson didn't handle the pressure of the playoffs well either.

Mahomes will haunt us for 20 years but Reid appears to be the only guy who saw that coming. The Texas Tech QB's didn't exactly have a history of success before him. It came down to a ready to play on Day 1 Watson and a needs time to develop (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky on nearly every draft board. Watson's injury concerns scared teams off.

Watson 100% is better than Trubinsky. Watson has the “it” gene a QB needs. He doesn’t play scared and nearly always makes the big play. Watson can always be my QB

The Polish Donkey has been order to keep quiet because he has already used up all his pre-programmed responses and can not be allowed to speak freely. I thought I remember him having some very bad interviews at UNC when he was answering as Mitch and not as a pre programmed robot. He started to malfunction when asked about the pick in the endzone and that was the cue to cut him off. After saying he put the pass right where he wanted to but didn't look off the safety he said he AND the TEAM needed to play better.

Really wanted Watson, not as bad as I wanted Chandler Jones the year we drafted Mcclellin or Amari Cooper the year we drafted Kevin White, but felt Watson was a more polished prospect.

I think we are too hard on Mitch. He probably never expected to be drafted as high as he was. His line is sketchy at best, and his young coach might be a fraud.

Yeah. Anyone who says they don’t know who is better between Watson and Mitch should ask somebody, because we know the answer.

Yeah..gotta be football retarded, it was obvious before the draft, After the draft and today.. Mitch would be in a coma if he had Houston's line.

In Mitch's defense, he has mentioned a problem that's been noticeable for a while. Plays routinely come in late and they are late breaking the huddle. This may be due to the fact that Mitch cannot decipher the plays and it takes him a while to line everyone up or that the other players don't know where to line up. This really should not be an issue in year two of the system and is maddening to watch and makes it impossible to have any rhythm or tempo in your offense. Packers would get play in early and QB would either hurry to line and run play or take play clock down while he looked for coverage hints from the D. That needs to be cleaned up Sunday.

Last game he motioned to the sideline a lot about hurrying up with getting the plays in. Not getting the plays in on time and tipping plays is a Nagy problem.

"Mitch throws a pass to his 3rd read" said no one ever.

That is my biggest problem with him. He can run, he can throw, but he is unable to not throw it to AROB.

Also, RUN THE FUCKING FOOTBALL.

You should probably just recycle your old Cutler posts and put them here if you’re going to go this route .
