I think he's considered down if he gives himself up by going to the ground. Otherwise teams would never touch a guy who makes a catch and falls to the ground.

True. But it was 1 second and he hadn't quite hit the ground when he touched him.

You could have made it a reviewable call.

If I can put my kool-aid down for a few seconds, I am bothered by the defense blowing another 4th quarter lead and Fuller absolutely sucks in man coverage. You can't give up 11 points in the 4th.

Yea, that damn defense.


The defense has a pattern of blowing 4th quarter leads. It happened in 4 of their 5 losses last year. One of those games was a playoff game. As great as they are, they can't continue giving up 10+ points in the 4th quarter. It's okay to take time away from bashing (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and the offense to acknowledge that.
