Why you gotta lie? I said TD/INT and y/a are the best to use, neither are counting stats.

You didn't want to use QBR or any other modern stats. Also, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has a better y/a than Rodgers too. TD/INT isn't meaningless, but we both know that Rodgers is afraid to take risks and loves his interception stat more than anything. Only Brees' may be better.

I always use a combination of stats. It’s gonna give you a better conclusion. Remember I was the one who said how ridiculous PFF’s grade of Mitch was and you defended it.

All that I know is that Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is going to have an excellent NFL career. Clearly he has a good coach who can develop him. Clearly he has a great defense who can give him the ball often in turnovers and great offensive position. I think that down the road, they need to upgrade the offensive line as a priority which I think will happen.

^ You simply cannot count on the centerpiece of that offensive line anymore. It's sad to say but the Bears cannot afford to ride with Kyle Long without a starter-level backup as insurance. Which makes the Sitton move so bad. He got IR'd elsewhere but whatever. He was plug 'n play here.

The only real glaring issue remaining with Mitch are the mechanics issues that lead him to occasionally be so glaringly Cutler-esqe inaccurate, which were not immediately obvious in his NC statline unless you were a scout that went over hours of tape. But those appear to be going away as well. Still an issue, but not what they were even just a few games ago. Maybe they come creeping back with a Vikings pressure front. That's the question this week for me. All eyes on Mitch regardless of what the Bears can do upfront.

His upside is almost certainly a franchise level QB that ultimately points towards multiple years of deep playoff runs and possibly at least one SB appearance. I think he might ultimately be better than that in this offense. It's not an offense that it easily figured out and gamplanned for. Exciting times, with some likely downers still to come this year.

This is a legit big boy offense with some things to still figure out. Howard is just in the worst place at the worst time. Doesn't really have to be that way and clearly they know that. They could have given him a handful of more touches last week early instead of calling Cohen's number and maybe lathered him up enough to finish a game without giving the ball back. That's a delicate balancing act when Cohen can break one like Howard really can't, and fits so much better. Even then, the calls that Howard did get late were off-tackle which is just bizarre. He looked frustrated, as was I.

The did a fantastic job of backing him up this year with Daniels, Witzman and Kush (one of those three being the opposite side starter).

Bears are lucky that Massie and Leno have been ironmen

I think that Mitch will be the difference in the Viking game because of his mobility. He will drive the good Viking defense crazy. On the other side of the ball, I think that Mack and company will find and destroy their quarterback.

Fair Mitch article

Outside of the running stuff that hasn't been true since Week 3, I won't strongly disagree with what was written. MANY refuse to see or acknowledge the progress he has made the past 6 games. The truths of the first 3 games are still being used to indict him.

Every Hamp and OB show is the same. Yeah, we get it you don't like (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, Nagy and Pace.

Neither do we, but we're stuck with them. And we can at least hope that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and Nagy get better going into week three after an exciting road win.

I told Hamp and OB on the air last year they were Debbie Downers. No, you don't have Mahomes or Watson, so quit comparing Mitch to them them. It's water under the bridge now. At least Mitch stays healthy and isn't making turnovers at this point to lose games for you. When was McMahon ever healthy or Cutler? They both had trouble staying on the field. Mitch is still just a kid. He's still maturing as a player. Then out of the blue he'll throw for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns in a game, like he did last year.

You may want to look at the game box scores from last year. He played well in many other games including the Eagles game.

Yep.

He was doing the same with Pinero until he was forced to let the guy prove himself.

No way Nagy is reluctant to kick that field goal from Week 1 now
