I am just glad they saved the season in week 2.

This is 100 years of football.

Why do I feel the Bears have the most weird games over this time. Win or lose. We have to have the most weird ones. Don't you agree?

It was only 3 extra minutes. A large chunk of that came from multiple 3rd and 4th down conversions given up in the 4th

This isn't trolling. I think I spoke about this before the season started. It's the primary reason I wasn't so down on Fangio leaving. I'm not trying to shit on the defense but you can't ignore trends.

What's been forgotten/ignored is the Bears had 4 extra days to prepare plus Broncos were on a short week. And this was the result?!? Should've been an ass whipping.

Sheesh.

Did they make a chart for best QB to overthrow their target by 3-5 yards?

I thought the excuse making for Cutler was bad. It's been taken to another level with Mitch.

It's nowhere near the same. Frankly, this is you struggling with people having an opinion that's different than yours. Cutler came here his 4th season in the league. He was 2 years older than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is now and people made excuses for him in his 30's. You're trying to write off (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky after 2 seasons, despite him having an uneven, but solid sophomore season. Reasonable people, are saying give (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky until the end of this season before judging him. After all, he was the most inexperienced quarterback drafted #2 and he spent a year with Dowell.

Mitch is 25 years old in his 3rd NFL season (but according to you, the 12 games started in his rookie season don't count toward his NFL experience?). Reasonable people are seeing a "franchise quarterback" somehow getting worse after 28 starts in the NFL. Everything on this team has been focused on Mitch. 2 QB's brought in with experience in the offense...an offensive head coach...trading up to get a RB and WR in the draft....signing Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Trey Burton. And still with all this, Mitch continues to over/underthrow and stare down receivers. After 28 starts. I know you said you liked Grossman. That would explain your support of basically what looks like the same guy.

It looks like the game is too fast for him. He speeds his clock up unnecessarily too often when he has to survey the field. That's why he's generally better when he gets the ball out quickly.

I said after 2 seasons so clearly I am counting the first. How much do you think Dowell helped (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's development? Is there an elite player who plays a skill position on the Bears offense? Just because they've been active isn't the same as getting really good or elite guys. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky had a good season last year. I don't think 2 games erases that, you do.

I'll add, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky accomplished something that Cutler never did in his 2nd season. He had a 2/1 touchdown to interception ratio.

And now in his 3rd year he’s also doing something Cutler never did. Not throw a TD through 2 games. Will he make it to 16? Stay tuned!!!!

You saw the numbers. Denver is a nearly impossible place to win in September. The Bears did what almost no team over the past 20 years has done in a Bronco home opener. This was a Herculean task that they completed.

Rex Ryan said the Bears are half a football team right now.

Not a lot of faith in Mitch.

I think a big problem is that no defense respects his deep ball. Each of the two games this year a receiver has broken wide open deep and Mitch either underthrows it or has his ridiculous sideline inaccuracy of throwing a ball that is completely uncatchable out of bounds. The defense bunches up defending the mid range passes causing a guy like Robinson to never have a clean look.

How long before the defense turns on Mitch in the locker room?

Has it already happened?

MANY are starting to believe Mitch has lost his confidence.

Can you come back from that?

It's obvious there is a book now on how to "beat" the bear defense, if 24 points in 2 games is considered getting beat.

If this is the way teams will play them this year, it is going to be a boring season of football.

You see that the defensive line, even on these short passes, is still getting pressure every single play. What I don't understand is if teams aren't going deep, why not play up on their receivers rather than concede the short stuff. The DB are essentially playing Lovie Smith football of letting the opponent have to get their yards a few at a time with the expectation that they will make a mistake over a long drive.

a very long time

They just played two supposedly top 10 level defenses. I'll worry more if Washington is an ugly win.

I don't care if its boring, gd. Win 10 games and get into the playoffs, and we'll see what happens.

There are a lot of guys who have to play better- Mitch #1- but there are a lot of games left, and a lot of talent on this roster. Hopefully this win loosens them up a bit and they come out of the gate strong @Washington.

And let me add....Mitch as game manager equals wins. But that's not what this team's offense is built to do.
Which leads to the bigger question of Pace's ability to find the guy at QB.

Somehow, Allen Robinson had 80 receptions for 1400 yards and 14 TDs with the great Blake Bortles throwing him the ball.

Speaking of Bortles....drafted in 2014. In his 2nd season...4738 total yards with 37 TDs. With the all star supporting class of Robinson, Allen Hurns, TJ Yeldon and Julius Thomas.
