Yeah. If that jury is still out, then they are just hanging out in the deliberation room drinking coffee. The verdict is definitely in.

Back to talking about Eddy Pineiro.

Kid is a great story.

It absolutely is still out on Mitch vs Watson. That is just a reality.

Stands to reason the RAIDERS would not be able to keep one of the best kickers in the league.

You're not wrong. Watson is better across the board in every facet of the game. Bob's just being his usual dipshit self.

Yep! Despite all of his college experience he looked shellshocked in the playoffs. Watson has the 2nd best WR in the NFL too.

Nobody had Mahomes this good and the jury is still out on Watson vs (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

His job is to evaluate talent. In this particular case he clearly focused on that position...and got it wrong. Trading up exacerbated his mistake. He doesn’t get a pass for being wrong just because the general public weren’t on top of it.

The general public had mitch as the 3rd best of those three..the GP was right, Pace was wrong.

It's a miracle Watson isn't in the ER, worst line in the league for 2 straight seasons.

No they didn't! Nearly every talent evaluator had Mahomes as the 3rd best. Reid may even have had him 2nd.

I wanted them to draft Watson and said so. But there is no evidence that Watson is better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

If you want you IMU the stat sheet and remove passing yards and touchdowns from the mix, then you might have a case.

There's a lot of evidence Watson is better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Do you really want to go to the stat sheet?

The 7 games prior to (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's injury it wasn't close. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was clearly better. Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL not named Brady and that will likely be true for a long time. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky can still be the 2nd best quarterback in that draft.

No he can't, unless DeShaun Watson pulls an Andrew Luck. That debate is over. Watson is lapping him.

Rodgers is still better than Mahomes too.

We'll see when it comes to Watson. You're dead wrong when it comes to Rodgers being better than Mahomes. It's really no close. Mahomes is the most talented QB I have ever seen before. If he has any of the Brady DNA it's going to be over for the rest of the league.

Rodgers is a shell of his former self. Still having it and being better than Mahomes is not the same. Mahomes is Rodgers on steroids. Mahomes is the guy you get when you create your own player and play the game on rookie.

Mahomes is great no doubt. Rodgers from 2010 to 2014 is the best QB any of us has ever seen.

Brees was better from 2011 to 2015 than Rodgers was unless you weigh interceptions more than you should.

That’s certainly an opinion.

Not throwing INTs is pretty important.

Brees has the edge in career accomplishments but I’ve never heard anyone say at their best Brees was better. You’re the first.

Brees was throwing more because he was far more important to his offense.
19777 yards over those 5 seasons for Rodgers vs. 25637 yards for Brees. 167 tds for Rodgers vs. 193 for Brees.

The interceptions were 36 to 72 but Brees has 3263 passes vs Rodgers having 2339.

I'm not sure what this anecdote means but it certainly isn't an argument that can be responded to.

Brees passed a lot more than Rodgers. Rodgers was more efficient during that span and won a lot more games. I think Rodgers wins that comparison rather easily.

Rodgers won 8 more games over those 5 seasons, though Brees played in 8 more. However, team wins seems to be a pretty interesting statistic to use given that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is 12-4 the last 2 seasons and Rodgers is 8-9-1 and I am sure if that was used to defend (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky you would accept it as a meaningful reason that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is outperforming him.

FavreFan wrote:

Rather easily? It seems the argument is QB wins, lack of interceptions, and some efficiency numbers that are also largely skewed because of the huge difference in attempts and yards.

However, if we are counting qb record, then Peyton Manning enters the conversation from 2003-2007.

63-17, 21008 yards, 168 tds, 53 int, 2588 attempts

He then has superior numbers if you do the range of his last two years in Indy and his first 3 in Denver, though you have to decide if it is fair that I am not counting his spine injury season.

I think you know winning percentage is more important than overall total wins. From 2011-2015 Rodgers never finished with a losing record. Brees did three times. So yeah, when overall a QB has better stats and a better winning percentage than another QB I generally say it's pretty easy to say who the best QB is during that time span.
