Let 'em play! Let the boys play Nagy!

Isn't this even more damning Nas? So either we are saying that Pace's hand picked coach that he believes is a budding offensive guru is fucking up the future franchise QB... OR the future franchise QB really is a bust.

Parkey bounced the Super Bowl off the upright and there's absolutely no doubt about it.

The size of the playbook is huge. I don't think that is the issue. It's the thousands of things that Nagy tries to remind him to do before and during each play. "Follow my eyes." "Take the socks out of the dryer when you get home." You can see him thinking instead of playing. Nagy can't do that during end game situations. That's why he looks different. You can tell he isn't thinking.

I think you can argue there was a little rust in the 1st game, 2nd game was a talented and well coached defense helmed by a coach that spent the 2 prior seasons calling defenses practicing against Mitch quite often.. and as I said after the Packers game going into Denver, I think it will wind up being a good thing for Mitch and this offense to have faced that right away (and gotten a win out of it)..

Buuut, to answer your question I do think that this preseason he should have played more. I don’t know how different it looks if he plays in the preseason, but his lack of experience in this offense and lack in general of experience says he probably should have played more.

But now that we’re 2 games in the regular season and still relatively healthy.. I’ll take that with a slow start any day. And I think Nagy made his mind up last year that he felt that way too.

In closing I’d like to add that Nagy’s playcalling is to blame for some of what we’ve seen so far too as is poor offensive line play. I still think the Bears will be just fine in the long run.

Maybe. This is Nagy's first time as a coach and calling plays. Some people just like to control everything that they are going to be responsible for.

Offense sucked, gotta score more than 17 a game

Maybe theres a reason he couldnt beat out bums in college until his final year, he's not a pocket passer.

This is an interesting observation Nas. There’s most likely something to it I’d guess. Nagy maybe trying to live thru Mitch too much so to speak (being he’s a former nobody QB at the NFL level)

Navy isnt filling mitches head up with "stare down your first read".
Packers knew hed do that. That int in the end zone everyone was collapsing on that corner and they weren't even close to worried mitch would look to his right and throw to a wide open receiver.
That int was totally damning. GB knew hed never look past his first read. They played a crucial moment knowing it. They were right. That was a heart sinking moment.

You saw the passes in the Miami game, Eagles game and to some extent Sunday. They weren't in prevent defense. He beat pressure and/or beat a defender in tight coverage. He got smashed during the back shoulder throw to Robinson against the Eagles.

Parkey 9 points
Bears Offense 6 points

I want this to work out so badly. If we get fucked by this its going to hurt a lot worse than anything I've seen from the Bears in the past 30 years. I hope they can figure it out, I really do. I just think we are past asking how many pre-season games are needed to make this team an undeniable super bowl contender.

Packers also knew he'd do that because Nagy used that play for the like 5th time in the game. Two shit peas in a pod with Nagy and Trubinsky

Scouting reports that you all posted said that he was good in the pocket. I've never seen 1 pass from him in college

He couldn't adjust on the fly to the absence of Burton. The gameplan was for Burton to play a major role.

Now that I can blame on Nagy. Counting on Burton is an awful idea. You simply can't count on him.

My statement is fact. The Eagles were going to get a heavy dose of Burton and like it. His mental health caused him have a physical problem. Just like it caused him to not be able to throw a pass at the end of the Giants game.

Trey Burton wasn't one of the top twenty best players on the roster last year. Losing him was definitely something they should've been able to overcome.

The drop off from him is probably greater than any other position.
