Jon Greenberg:

Quote:
As for the Bulls’ pre- and postgame host job that was filled by the well-respected Mark Schanowski, sources tell me that Jason Goff and Rosalyn Gold-Onwude (the former TNT reporter who has been making appearances on ESPN shows) have auditioned with Will Perdue and Kendall Gill. Most people believe Goff is the favorite, but neither Goff nor Cross would confirm anything.

Goff has been very tough on the Bulls on the radio and on Twitter, and if he got the job that means the organization signed off on it.

This guy is a Goff cheerleader. I highly doubt he get's the Bulls studio job after going after Paxson for years.

I haven't sampled his non-WSCR work but hopefully he's improved as a broadcaster. I think his sports thoughts are fine, and his personality is a bit grating when he acts tough but he isn't boring. But if he still has the vocal tics, wordiness, cackling, and console-pounding, that's not a good point guard for a tv post-game show IMO

and I do think his Bulls opinions, especially the ones shitting on John Paxson, are good. I would welcome after a 27-point loss to the Magic seeing Goff seethe while KC Johnson giggles uncomfortably

Seems like an off-the-board move but would fit right in with Jason's pattern of failing up.

This is probably the ideal job for him. Short segments, no callers, minimal interaction with white people, and he loves the NBA.

And it's a team that is going nowhere, so nobody is going to watch.

he'll be good at it, and the job itself will restrict his ability to: freelance, vaguely allude/alledge things, and talk politics (save him from himself)

is a frequent yet still unnamed guest-host on a Sarah Spain branded show really 'up' from being the heir apparent to Terry Boers?

Bulls will be frisky this year

I don't think it is, but I have to acknowledge your opinion since the board doesn't allow me to hide admins

also this would mean he's not failing 'up' to the Bulls post-game show either, as that is not a higher position than full-time drive-time radio host.

Well you have my name in your signature so maybe you can handle it.

Don't let Goff drive! You're way more likely to get pulled over (and way more likely to have weed in the car! =)

But what does say about Goff? The only role he could succeed at is one where his talking is limited so he doesn't share too many of his thoughts.
