One tries a FG on second down, the other goes for it on 4th and 10.

I am sick of hearing the media say how refreshing Nagy is at the podium and how transparent he is.

I'm glad he's your friend, but would prefer he's a good coach.

The offense wasn't that great in year 1.

It was not, and any offensive improvement last year can largely be attributed to the upgrades at the WR position as they went from having horrible WRs to having ones that range from good to very good.

It definitely looks like teams are gonna attack the RPO by clogging run lanes and bringing inside pressure. How will Nagy adjust? If he came out with Mitch under center and ran the ball off tackle a few times it would force teams at least to think a little on D. Should be quick crossing routes open all day. Play action RPO plays are useless when teams bring A gap pressure and cover outside shoulder of DE, there is nowhere to run, but passing lanes everywhere. Pack bet that Mitch would not recognize openings and not be accurate enough to exploit passing lanes and they won. Much of the complexity in the offense seems to be in the pre-snap movement. Denver has two of the best outside pass rushers in the business. Will Nagy be able to make adjustments?

We're three weeks into the season and the Bears have no identifiable strengths as an offense, no "staple plays" they can count on to convert a makeable 3rd down in key situations, no clear way of giving defenses something to worry about, and no real running game.

Perhaps most troubling of all is that the offensive execution has been so much sloppier this year compared to last year. More penalties, more problems breaking the huddle, more broken plays, etc.

It seems, then, that Mitch isn't the only player who is struggling with the full implementation of the offense. Maybe Nagy has sacrificed quality for quantity, installing a greater number of plays than in 2018 while failing to thoroughly instruct his players in the proper execution of his scheme.

Nagy seems to have made a classic mistake often committed by inexperienced teachers--he has privileged the presentation of his paradigm over the developmental level of his students. He's so confident in his ideas that he believes his system is the key to success rather than the manner with which his players engage with that system. Nagy may very well be an offensive genius, but his talent will be lost if he can't properly communicate his ideas to his players. When one student fails, blame goes to the student; when an entire class fails, it is the teacher who is at fault.

It's really bizarre that Nagy seems to be going out of his way to not use his best RB.

He clearly has no idea how to establish the run. The offense is all about his passing concepts. The problem is that there are apparently too many concepts for the players to effectively ingest. Matt Nagy is the goofy professor.

Nagy's offense requires a QB who can hit receivers in stride and read the defense. So far (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is only able to throw 5 yards slants accurately and has no timing on anything deeper.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's inaccuracy may be part of a Nagy-induced regression.

What has Montgomery done to earn the title of best running back? How many times did KC use their running back on Sunday? When did Montgomery become T.Gurley?

Tre Burton being a punk b.itch is why the offense did not look good in the playoffs or weeks one and two.

For some reason Nagy bases the whole offense around that guy, even when he is not playing.

I have said all along that the weak links for the Bears is their offensive line and field goal kicking. They've been okay with their kicking thus far but despite their covering up for the offensive tackle woes last year, the league has figured it out. They made a conscious decision not to replace the tackles via trade or the draft and it is costing them. I do not see a lot of hope for this team right now. Especially with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky hurt. One thing that you had with Mitch was his athleticism and ability to make things out of nothing with his mobility. This is needed when your offensive line cannot make a decent pocket for your quarterback.

In the draft next year and in free agency they need to treat offensive tackles as the first and second priority. I've been saying thing for years and they've screwed it up.

Montgomery lighting it up.... Today you get to see a real RB in Jacobs.

I understand that you don't get to see many good RB's in GB. Pay attention.

No you simpleton. What I am saying is you can't hand him the ball and expect a Bears victory. He has proved NOTHING except 1 ok pre-season game

Sherith never even tries to hide his love for the Raiders calling them "WE" when he is referring to their team. It is incredible. And BTW Montgomery refuses to run to daylight. He pretty much always runs to wherever the play is designed. Good backs run with their heads up. The jury is still out on Montgomery.
