Allen Robinson had 80 receptions, 1400 yds and 14 TDs while playing alongside the HOF WR combo of Allen Hurns and Marquise Lee. With the great Blake Bortles under center.

I’m talking about their whole career and who the best QB is because that’s a more relevant topic than who did slightly better or worse last year. Last year Mitch was almost as good as Watson. This year and his rookie year Watson are significantly better.

You know you have a bad argument when you purposely try to make the sample size of data smaller.

Allen Robinson was also coming off a major knee injury and admitted that his knee didn't start to feel normal until the of last season. Are you claiming that Robinson is better than Hopkins or better than the 5th best WR in our division?

Okay so Mitch had two touchdown drives against a bad team. I am not putting a mediocre offense all on Mitch; his line and play- caller have been overrated.

This year isn't over and the data from last season is relevant for reasons that should be obvious. There isn't a starting WR or TE from (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's rookie season that's still in the NFL. Dowell Loggains makes Mike McCarthy look like Bill Walsh. When (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky played with NFL talent (Still inferior to what Watson had) he put up similar numbers in an injury shortened season and outplayed Watson when the games matter most. Pump the brakes on Watson being better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. What would he be without Hopkins?

Still better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. By a wide margin.

The objective data from last regular season and playoffs says otherwise. Take away Hopkins and Watson is RG3.

You don’t just get to take away Hopkins production. It doesn’t work like that.

And like I explained, the objective data states Watson is a significantly better QB. You just have to look at all the data and not cherry pick and falsify the data by trying to remove Watson’s production.

No, I'm showing that with the shitshow that was the Jacksonville Jaguars he somehow put up big numbers. I'd say his knee his fine now. Are you claiming that Blake Bortles is better than Mitch?

Watson is a product of playing with the 2nd best WR in the NFL. The fact that a 1/3 of his completions and nearly half of his touchdowns were thrown to 1 player proves that. No other player on the Texans had more than 32 receptions.

The objective data from last season says otherwise. Now if you want to focus on a time when (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky played with guys who weren't good enough to be in the NFL and a coach who makes McCarthy look like a genius then you have a better argument. You shouldn't need to do that if the gap is as wide as you say it is.

It’s not hard.

Watson was better as a rookie.
Watson was better last year.
Watson has been better through 3 games this year.

Doesn’t take a genius to predict who’s gonna be better going forward.

No, he isn't, but he did have superior offensive weapons than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has. That was a fluke year for Robinson. His production was cut in half the following year. When a quarterback's best player is the 5th best player at that position in his division then he doesn't have any real weapons.

I'm not saying (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky doesn't need to play better but only Brady, Mahomes and a younger Rodgers could likely get great production out of our "talent".

Watson has Hopkins
Watson was marginally better last year playing 2 extra games
(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was better in the playoffs
This season isn't over

You’re focusing too much on the stats. The stats are still on my side in every possible way but I watch the games. Nobody on the planet including Mitch’s family thinks he’s as good as Watson. There’s a reason that nobody anywhere except this thread is debating this.

Nothing I've posted is false. I've never said that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has been better. I've simply said that it's a lot closer than you and others claim. Then I posted facts to back up my claim. Hopkins is the difference.

There are no facts to back up your claim. You’re just posting nonsensical things about Hopkins making Watson that no actual football fan believes.

Did Watson have 26 touchdowns and 9 interceptions in 16 games last season?
Did 1/3 of Watson's completions go to Hopkins?
Did nearly 40% of Watson's passing yards go to Hopkins?
Did nearly half of Watson's touchdown passes go to Hopkins?
Did any other Texans player have more than 32 receptions?
Is Hopkins any worse than the 2nd best WR in the NFL?
Was Hopkins an established star before Watson was drafted?
Did (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky have 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 14 games last season?
Did (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky have 4 players with 50+ receptions?
Did (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky have 3 players with at least 5 touchdown receptions?
Is Allen Robinson the Bears best offensive player?
Is Allen Robinson any better than the 5th best WR in the NFC North?
Did (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky perform better in the playoffs than Watson?
Is there another quarterback more reliant on another player as Watson is in order to be successful?

There were times last year (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky looked better than Watson. Watson isn't all that great. If Watson were on the Bears people would be complaining just as much as they do about Mitch.

The easier path to the Bears being better on offense is by using Monty as a true workhorse RB and uncorking Tarik as a change of pace back, particularly in the screen game and out of the slot. I think that's the direction they are headed anyways. The way they've used Cohen this year is truly nonsensical.

That’s not true. Watson’s main flaw is he takes too many sacks and holds on to the ball too long. The talent gap between him and Mitch is quite clear and even meathead Bears fans would be able to get that difference. Watson would be beloved by this city and his main flaw would be written off as him being a warrior if he was the Bears QB.

Sorry, but you and Nas simply aren’t going to convince people who watch non-Bears games these two guys are close. They are not. Watson is considerably better.

Watson's main flaw is that he's one wrong hit from having his career over.

Nah. But I get that that’s the only angle you can grasp to if you somehow wind up on the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky side of a Trubiskt/Watson debate

It would be that he's not smart enough to decide where to throw the ball to because he wouldn't have Hopkins as a crutch. They would likely call him Henry Burris.

You've failed to dispute any fact that I posted above. Everything else is just noise.

That post was just noise. I already responded by saying you don’t get to just eliminate any part of the production you want to.

I watch a shitload of NFL. There’s no reason to think Mitch is close to as good as Watson and I know you don’t actually think he is. Neither does America.

You can't refute any of the things because they are all facts.

Watson is better than Mitch but he's not overwhelmingly better or some elite talent that keeps me up at night. Not to mention the fact that he's on borrowed time with his injury history...I'm not crying over missing out on him the way I am Mahomes.

I wanted the Bears to draft Watson in that draft. But there is nothing right now to suggest that Watson is much better if at all than Mitch. He has a pretty bad offensive line, they cannot get the running game operational, and Nagy has gone to extremely conservative play calling. That is the truth of things.

That is very true. I didn't like how they used Cohen last year and this year is worse.

Bullshit. You are just a Bear's hating Packer fan and that qualifies you for being nothing that is objective.

Watson has Hopkins and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky doesn't. Give (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky Hopkins and the narrative would be different.
