The Bears pretty much manhandled the Vikings in both games last year. At the Soldier Field game the Vikings scored a late touchdown with little time left that made it look closer than it really was. The Bears destroyed them in Minnesota. It's another year, but you have to feel pretty confident that the defense will hold the Vikings in check. In the game in Minnesota, Jordan Howard ran wild.

There is more tape on Mitch and the recipe to "stop" him is fairly simple: contain him in the pocket, take away his first read and let him force the ball in or take off running. If the Bears can establish the run then I guess they can score more. If the D and the run game don't chip in then I don't see Mitch leading this team to more than 14 points.

Vikings are our toughest opponent in the division this year. Will be a hard fought game, I predicted a split between the two this year.. hope that loss isn’t this next game. We’ll see.

They’re well coached, have a decent O-line, a good RB, and a legit defense that’s been good/great for a few seasons now. I’d add that Cousins, while very inconsistent, can get hot at times to and is capable of playing really well.


Styles make fights, and stylistically the Queens are a very tough matchup for the Bears.

Vikings are more of a threat: better WRs and a better RB, and maybe more importantly, a coach who knows how to use his best weapon (RB). The Packers have transitioned away from being a high-octane offense so that blunts the Rodgers factor, and he's declining away so it's not like they have the capabilities to go high-octane anymore. The Bears already neutralized them this year with no problem. Vikings are more of a threat - NME is right.

The Packers vs Vikings is irrelevant when it comes to who is the tougher opponent for the Bears. Like I already said, the Bears manhandled the Packers offense on opening night. Embarrassed the coach who was brought in to optimize Rodgers' skills and abilities. The Bears lost the game because they have an inept QB. If McCown is back there the Bears score 17 points.

There’s an entire season in front of these teams still. You have a HoF QB on your roster that can take advantage of teams early in the season before they’ve gelled to win games. That said.. I don’t agree with you. Rodgers is the only dangerous thing about the Packers -take him away and you guys won’t win games. The Bears and Vikings both could probably lose their best individual player and still win games because they have complete units that can be dominant on one side of the ball as a whole.


The Packers don’t have that. Your defense may look better than last years defense having showed out against a few average to lower tier offenses, but your defense isn’t anything special. As has been the case for years now Rodgers and Rodgers alone will decide how far your team goes. But as a whole, team wise, coaching -all of it- the Vikings are a tougher matchup for the Bears right now.

Nobody has scored 17 on Green Bay yet. GB’s defense has dominated every opponent they have faced. Gb doesn’t turn the ball over and has a HOF QB who has made the necessary winning play in all three games as well. There’s nothing you can say to support your argument. The proof is in the pudding. Green Bay has shown on the field who the toughest opponent in the division is. It’s Green Bay until someone can actually beat them.
