GB beat the Bears and the Vikings already. They’ve already proven this paragraph wrong.

The Packers vs Vikings is irrelevant when it comes to who is the tougher opponent for the Bears. Like I already said, the Bears manhandled the Packers offense on opening night. Embarrassed the coach who was brought in to optimize Rodgers' skills and abilities. The Bears lost the game because they have an inept QB. If McCown is back there the Bears score 17 points.

Nobody has scored 17 on Green Bay yet. GB’s defense has dominated every opponent they have faced. Gb doesn’t turn the ball over and has a HOF QB who has made the necessary winning play in all three games as well. There’s nothing you can say to support your argument. The proof is in the pudding. Green Bay has shown on the field who the toughest opponent in the division is. It’s Green Bay until someone can actually beat them.

that's because you've played subpar offenses. The Vikings and Broncos both scored 16 on you - that would have been more than enough to put you away for good had (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky been any good. Your defense hasn't been tested yet.

And when you played a real defense that defense shut you down.

Eli Manning would hang a fifty burger on them.

:D

The thing is he probably would. Fucker has owned us just like he’s owned the Patriots.
 Only if he played you January.

Nope. Your response is the emotional one. I’m going by what the results of the games say.

Nobody here except Frank thinks that's any kind of accomplishment. If/when Nagy reinvents the offense to be more ball-control, run it down your throat, etc., then it's over for you. You guys can't score on us.

FavreFan thinks shutting down Rodgers and shutting down (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky are exactly the same thing. I mean, clearly we’re dealing with an all time football intellect here.

You’re the one trying to make this personal. I’m simply saying what I’ve seen. You and vegan are twisting yourselves into knots attempting to rationalize why GB is playing so well defensively when it’s pretty obvious it’s because they are just a very talented defense who plays aggressively.

Well, I’m smart enough to know that Rodgers got a touchdown and Mitch didn’t and that was the difference in the game. You guys keep talking about shutting Rodgers down but he never turned the ball over and made the couple plays he had to to win the game. That’s enough for me.

When GB scores ten points with all their "weapons" you know the offense was shut down. Too bad Chicago is still QB cursed.

First game in a new offense with no preseason reps (dumb coaching move) and a first time head coach and they played well enough to win by a touchdown against the best defense in the league last year. I’ll take that every day as a fan.

They changed their entire gameplan after a little over one quarter. They thought they would be able to go deep going into the game and actually hit one pass but Rogers was getting pummeled. After that, they went about as conservative as I have ever seen the Packers with Rogers. Sure he didn't turn the ball over but there they didn't call anything that could result in a turnover for a competent QB. He became a game manager.

From PFF:

Quote:
Coming off an impressive performance against the Raiders in Week 3, Vikings running back Dalvin Cook leads all NFL backs in rushing grade at 91.4. The 2017 second-rounder finished this past week ranked second in forced missed tackles per carry (0.44) and total yards per carry (6.9) among the 34 running backs with 10 or more attempts in Week 3. He’s now rushed for an NFL-high 375 yards on his 57 carries and ranks inside the top-five in forced missed tackles per carry (0.26) and yards after contact per attempt (4.1).

Last year’s Seahawks were the first team in three years to run the ball on more than 50% of their offensive plays, hitting a league-leading 52.4%. Through three weeks, the Vikings are obliterating that total, sitting at a 61.3% run-play percentage. They’d be the first team since 2004 to top 60% over a full season. That has wrecked the values of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Those two totaled 69 targets and 526 yards in Weeks 1-3 last year, numbers that have dropped to 27 and 277 this year.

The bad news for the Vikings is that nobody stuffs the run like the Bears. Without looking into the numbers, I recall them making Dalvin Cook look like Jeremy Langford last year. There’s a good chance that he leaves the field on a stretcher, which would be great news for me because I loaded up on their rookie backup in my fantasy leagues. #fantasyfag

WTF?

Maybe they feel no one is going to be looking for rookie running back help at this point in the season and they can get him to the practice squad. Sowell sucks as a TE

Green Bay is a paper tiger. They will end up not better than 8-8.

Come on, I enjoy a Bears L as much as anyone, but they clearly have the best defense, possibly in the entire NFL.

Edit: that's just poor trolling.

3:15 kick on CBS, with Nance & Romo on the call. However, Tony Romo is currently playing in The PGA's Safeway Open in Napa, CA on a sponsor's exemption. He actually has a chance at making the cut to play the weekend. He is -2 after one round, five shots back of the leaders.

If Romo were to make the cut and play the weekend, Boomer Esiason would join Nance in the booth.

I don't like this game coming up. I think the Bears throw a stinker and lose.
You said the same thing about Denver and Washington, so-- no offense-- I hope you are just as wrong this week!

A head coach and offensive play caller that doesn't run the football and thinks he's smarter than everyone else + a game managing QB at best who can't see open receivers. Yes, the Bears defense is awesome, but I just can't homer it up like you guys and pretend this team is any better than the Vikings are anyone else. Beating up on basement team like the Redskins was nice, but I just can't buy in. They were embarrassing in week one and they really should have lost the Broncos game. Sorry...team is bad.

That Broncos game is really a lot more difficult than it looks on paper. Broncos almost never lose a home opener.

Agree 100%...which is why I had it as a loss beforehand. It was a loss, until the Broncos hand delivered the game to the Beloved.
