For those going, are you spending anytime outside London?

As in other places in England? No. But we are going to Prague for a day (Hawks!) and then to Ireland after the Bears game.

I'll be staying near Notting Hill most of the week. Definitely going to check out Oxford, and maybe make my way up to Manchester for a day or two.

Going to be there for about a week. We were going to take the Eurostar to Amsterdam but now we have to take the toddler. Still stopping in Paris but that's probably it.

Go to Birmingham also.

We head to Scotland on the 21-28. What was your top3.

We are seeing Edinburgh, fort William, isle of sky, Elgin/speyside and back to Edinburgh.

How would one get your liver ready for that trip?

Haha I'll try. Too many places. I want to focus on London, relax and take it in.

Game tickets arrived a few days ago and we leave in less than a week so the excitement level is ramping up. Bears and hawks wear are piled on the bed in the spare bedroom for packing. And Madam Retard is on a strict shoe count so our suitcases make weight.

RAF Duxford is pretty cool if you're looking to get out of London for a bit. The old geezers there love yanks. Its like a half hour walk from the Greater Anglia (I think) so you can take the train and save some bucks if you wanna not drive.

Nas I don't know what your accomodation arrangements are but the area around Gare du Nord is kinda shitty. If you just make a quick jaunt up to Montmarne though you'll actually find it really pleasant and tranquil comparatively. Be assertive with the French and they'll take care of you, even with your toddler.

The thought of going to London for a game is interesting. The reality is that I'd feel foolish being in London and wasting my precious time at a football game

Going to a Bears game largely sucks, except for the tailgate.

Kids are getting dropped off at the Grandparents' tonight. Wife and I take off tomorrow night. The game is the last thing we're doing on the trip. 1st stop, Dublin.

It's not JUST for the game. Sure that is one of the things we'll do. Honestly I was using the game as cover to propose but I have reconsidered that over the past 4 months.

After a couple of drinks at the Guinness factory tell your wife “you must be Irish because looking at you the bulge in my pants is Dublin”

Guaranteed passion.

Have the Raiders started to tank yet for a higher draft pick?

Didn't board members meet up in Milwaukee?

We’ve had this discussion

You and joe have a joyless position on this. Games are a great time with no stress if you devote the day beforehand

Let me amend. "Largely" is the wrong word to have used. It's definitely not a convenient thing to do, however.

Joyless and no stress are two extremes. Certainly there is joy in going to a Bears game, especially when they are good. To say there is positively no stress in getting to, into, out of, and home from Soldier Field is incorrect.
