...and there is a reason that the Broncos are 0-3.

The Bears are not as bad as you make them out to be, wd. Now, if they lose to Kirk Cousins at home, then I might start to agree with you.

They are below average on offense and excellent on defense. Probably balances out to be an above average team on the strength of the D alone.

They were below avg offense last year and outstanding on D..that was good enough to make a SB push.. Same goes for this year.

I wouldn't call losing a divisional game to a team starting its backup QB a SB push. They lost because of offense. Need to get better to make a true push.

Do you mean conference game? Because the Bears were 5-1 in the division last year.

Eagles converted two 4th down plays on their last drive. Make a stop 4th down, and fade to black. Or make a field goal, and fade to black.

Yes, our Offense is why we lost, probably going to happen again.

The Bears offense really needs to step and help the defense. A big game by (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and the offense will go a long way toward making the Bears the team to beat in the North. It will also put less stress on the defense.

If Hicks isn’t close to 100% against the Vikes run game, it might be one of those games where it’s close but then the defense falls apart in the 4th because time of possession is killing them. Although worryingly the D sucked in the 4th last week and the Bears had a big ToP advantage.

The defense doesn't have the best conditioning.

Definitely not the conference championship. After looking it up the proper name for the round the Bears lost in is actually the wildcard round. Basically this means the Bears lost in the first round of the playoffs, so SB push is a bit hyperbolic of 312player. The Saints and Rams had the bye that year.

Yes, what you said is true above. But if we're gonna go down that path then you could also say "if (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky hits that pass, if (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky does that, etc, fade to black". like Nas said, the o has to help the d out. It's unfair to hold the D to really high standards when the offense constantly puts them in bad spots by going three and out, not sustaining long drives, and not scoring. There's a symbiotic relationship between the defense and offense which means we can't critique one unit without accounting for what the other unit is or isn't doing.

The offense definitely needs to do more but the trend of the Bears defense blowing 4th quarter leads is alarming.

Again you need to ask why they are blowing leads or appear tired. If the offense forces me to go back out there after three downs a lot then I'm gonna be tired too. The bears ranked in the 20s last year in 3rd down conversion rates and are around the same place this year. To put that in perspective the team closest to the bears in 3rd down conversion last year was the Jacksonville Jaguars. Pretty bad. So it's not conditioning...it's (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

This has happened in games that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has played well in and the Bears had the time of possession advantage.

Minnesota will need to force the Bears to be honest in the passing game if they want to run against the Bears front seven. This should be an easy W, we line up really well against the Vikings. If we dont win this things are really, really wrong.

and when I say "easily" I mean win by one score in typical Bears fashion.

Fuller on an island scares me. Even Nagy was able to beat him in man coverage.

They had an incredible number of turnovers last year given to them and a last place schedule ......that helped. Not so sure I would expect the same results this season. They had few injuries last year and that was a key too, that should not be taken for granted. mainly, I don't think Mitch is very good and I think more and more, teams are going to force Mitch to make plays, as they stack up against the run and take the shorter routes away.

Chances are he'll be the one with the 4Q interception to seal it since Kirk Cousins lives in such fear of Eddie Jackson he probably would rather fumble the ball at his own feet then throw it anywhere near Eddie's zip code.

I'm guessing this is the game thread? Either way Gabriel is OUT and Hicks & Long are questionable.

It's not a game thread. It wont be until a drunken favrefan tells us that 5 players on the packers defense are better than mack.

It shouldn’t. He is playing just a shade below jaire Alexander

I didn't see Fuller get cooked for a TD this week the way Jaire did.

Yeah I don’t base my opinions on a single game. Perhaps that’s why you’re struggling.
