He will regress but this much more than game managing

I think the play calling is more limited with Chase (lack of Mitch’s athleticism), and he doesn’t have Mitch’s ability to stay calm and make plays late in close games.. but he is more accurate. He has weaker arm than Mitch too imo and may wind up throwing more picks if we need to use him for a decent amount of games..


..in the long term I don’t think it’s good if Chase has to run this team -he’s a backup.

He's doing his job today and depending on what happens with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky he may be our longterm answer.

These aren't things we can say Mitch does. They are just things Chicago fans want to believe are true because of one series or two but really aren't. The entire league knows this guy can't play QB at an above average level. The more we cling to this false narrative then the less likely we see the reality that we don't have a reliable QB in this city. We're back to the era just before Cutler where we're sort of just scraping by with average to below average QBs and don't have a clue about offense.

I saw Daniel hitting second and even third reads, that was a good pass rush too. He'll out perform Mitch and he can use the entire playbook.
