Because they did not collect their DNA before they collected DNA in 1985 it means they are innocents despite multiple other assaults in the park, multiple sets of hand prints on the jogger, and their admissions with their parents present.

It's like saying Aaron Hernandez was innocent. He was never convicted.

Actually, those DNA samples didn't match the guys who got caught but matched the guys who got away. Obviously. Even a cave man could see that. It's common sense and logic given the confessions after the parents told the boys to tell the truth. And all the other evidence. This exoneration has been debunked.

Matias Reyes, the crazy mofo who did the central park jogger (Trisha Meili) attack, had been attacking women all around the park since the prior year. Reyes would tell his victims after raping them that they had a choice: he could take their life or their eyes. Freaky. Turned out, fortunately, Reyes wasn't very good at doing either, leaving his victims all stabbed up, badly beaten and covered in his jizz but usually still alive. Reyes DNA was found all in and on the Central Park jogger, once the police got around to testing his DNA against the DNA found on/in Meili.

Linda Fairstein, the prosecutor who railroaded the CP5 kids, should be doing life without parole for what she did to those kids. The state of new york ended up paying them a substantial settlement. But that doesn't even start to repair the damage Fairstein and her crew did to the CP5. Plus Reyes had I think 5 more victims after his Central Park attack on Trisha Meili, including a fatal beating, stabbing and rape of Lourdes Gonzalez. Maybe if Fairstein and her crew didn't have tunnel-vision for railroading the CP5 they'd have caught on to Reyes before he went on to commit those other attacks and Gonzalez would still be alive.
