Not very good. But at least there is a body of work that puts Cousins at maybe only average, versus being one of the worst 7 QB's in the league.

And the Vikings didn't have to move any picks in the 2017 draft to get him, which is nice because that's where Dalvin Cook and Pat Elflein came from.

Denying the improvements GB made to their defense is stupid.

Mitch...appears to be a game manager at best. But that you can win with.

The most fatal flaw is thinking GB's defense is "dominant"

9.5 PPG allowed in the era of offensive explosion. Pretty good.

Who said GB's defense is not better than last year's?

Cousins only ends up as average because he beats bad teams. He can't beat a winning team and shits the bed during big games. This has been his MO for years.

Not for the Bears. Peppers is a fancy hood ornament. The Bears need a reliable car.

Peppers is flashy and you can probably find a role for him on a defense and the return game. I don't think anybody will mess with him doing anything on offense. I believe he can do many things well. Not sure he does anything great.

He probably should be a corner but he has no history of covering guys or defending passes.

He'll still go very high because his athleticism will be off the charts. With the right team, he could be amazing. I don't think it's the Bears.

Hey, I was right about this one, too.

Thanks for reminding me about all this, Nas!

Packers have not played in a playoff game since Mitch has been named the Bears starter.

I'm loving it so far too.

I think Cousins is better right now than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky but it took Cousins until he was 27 to look like anything but a career backup, and even now he is probably the worst kind of quarterback which is highly paid and average at best.

That's a tough call. They are part of that interchangeable tier of average to below average guys. Maybe it's time to update the CFMB QB Rankings!

Even at his absolute worst, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky can make plays to win you a game. At his best, you can count on Cousins to come up short in big games and make really dumb interceptions.

I always did like Kirk Cousins. His salary is the big problem though. You basically have to be a future hall of fame quarterback at that salary.

I think most QB’s salaries are a problem when viewed by their abilities versus cap space.

You compared him to one of the best football players of all time. I’m gonna say you’re still losing by a significant margin on this prediction.

You called (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky the best quarterback in the draft and said that the earliest you would draft Mahomes is the 3rd round. You're not in an NFL front office but you were wrong. Most people were.

Yes, and all had better numbers and more games in college than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky .

Pace is trying to extend his job. This buys him at least one more year regardless of how bad the team is next year because he's developing a QB.

If the Bears fire Pace half the league will be lining up to get him. Very few GM's draft as well as he does.

Pace took a very bad team and in its last 21 games has won 15 games. That's very good production for any general manager. Did he make mistakes? Yes, but all GMs do. I think that Bear's fans in general are expecting too much as in perfection by Pace. The same kind of shit occurs on all of the hate leveled at (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Why? The kid is very young and has only two years experience in NFL play in total. Now I read all of this shit about trading him, drafting another guy, shit about him being unable to throw, read defenses, etc. All while a lot of people ignore how shitty the offensive line and tight ends are for the Bears.

I just think that to give up on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is asinine. If you want to say that they should have drafted Mahomes or Watson, okay. But that doesn't have a damned thing to do with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky who can, I believe, be a very good NFL quarterback himself. Perhaps you people who want him gone do not remember the total SHIT that the Bears have had for quarterback for decades.

Dunno about that, don't care really. That's irrelevant. Reich and Pederson are better than Nagy by a wide margin..just like Watson n Mahomes are. You can't whiff on the HC and QB like that.

Um. Who was the NFL head coach of the year last year? As for Watson and Mahomes and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. I was on two different boards the year of that draft and there was no consensus whatsoever on those boards for who to pick. In fact, most of these so-called "experts" thought that Mahomes was the 3rd or worse of the bunch. And the paid draft experts said the same thing. Anyone who says that Mahomes or Watson were the obvious choices over (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is pretty much lying. In fact, they are lying. All of you folks saying that Pace ignored obviously better pick options are bullshitters.
