Note: this is NOT to replace the playoff thread! I want the playoff thread to continue. I just think its good to have a separate place to make predictions. A place where we can identify geniuses and dumbfucks. But the playoff thread should outlast this one!

Just make ur picks here, but continue the play by play and insults on the playoff thread!

I believe the Cards beat the Nats. Astros beat the Yanks.

Astros beat down the Cards in the World Series.

Astros over the Yankees in 7- the Astros have the starting pitching, but the Yankees have the bullpen, and the offense is about a wash;
Nationals over the Cardinals in 6- Scherzer, Strasburg, and Corbin put the kibosh on Cardinals magic.

Astros over the Nationals in 5- the Nationals can only be the NL Rays for so long.

Kind of. Washington has great starting pitching but they tend to deploy it in an unconventional fashion. Stated another way, they deploy their starters like relievers. I think they're going to get burned out, and the Astros overall superior talent is going to shine through.
