Just accept it. George McCaskey himself called him that, was first guy quoted after games, only pro bowler in 2017, top 100 all time player. Guessing your not a long time fan?

I think he did. The thinking after that was that Long was a starting caliber tackle but an all pro guard. Then the injuries happened.

They signed Dax Reymond off the practice squad to replace Long. This is a guy who they wanted to redshirt for a year on the IR but came on a ton physically and they actually paid him out a settlement in order to re-sign him to the practice squad. Now a month later he's on the 53. Bears rolling with five TE now.

This is a small but perhaps telling indication of what is to come.
