Anyone watching this? Great acting and intrigue. Plots are great. Very little that seems rushed or half assed. It's like a modern day Lannister story set in the corporate world.

Agreed though I'm not sure if I like the ending to season two.

SPOILER ALERT

Kendall's turn at the end doesn't make sense to me. He already tried and failed twice last year under different circumstances. The accident loomed large in the background all season this year; its function was to remind him/us that he's basically screwed professionally and personally, and it further served to contextualize his larger social and psychological fall from grace. This was underscored when he tearfully told Shiv that he didn't know what his purpose would be without his Dad needing him. I'm not sure how he/the show can just flick that all away by having him yet again turn against his dad. He still is compromised because of the murder/accident. If this turn is more about a moral crusade against the company's wrongdoings than a business crusade then this still doesn't make sense unless Kendall confesses to his crime. And again his dad still holds that over him and can play that card whenever he likes. So I don't quite understand the turn here.

Logan telling Kendall that he wasn't a killer was a ploy by Logan I think. He wanted to see how Kendall would react. At least that is what I'm thinking. Kendall is probably thinking that after being drug to the kids house who he killed and Logan not saying anything then, he is probably in the clear.

Agree that it's the best show on tv, can't wait for season 3.

I think the switch flipped at the Congressional hearings when Logan threw Kendall under the bus. Perhaps before then because at the finale it's clear that Kendall and Greg are in cahoots, but it's not clear when they exchanged the documents about the cruises.

I think Kendall is willing to face the music if it buries his father too.

I don't get it. Season 1 was a chore to get through and I gave up on it by the middle of the second episode this season.

Fantastic Show

Rewatching immediately after binging.

Kendall Roy's arc is one of the best OF ALL TIME!

Yeah, love me some Kendall.

I'm kinda surprised that this show won the Golden Globe for best drama. I think of it principally as a satire, although the show clearly has dramatic elements.

yeah it really is a little bit of everything it definitely works as a comedy but the the dramatic parts that take over towards the end of the seasons are great.

Greg and Tom are especially hilarious

Still not rationalizing Kendall's move at the end of S2. Again he already tried to do this and failed in S1. Plus his dad has leverage over him that will result in Kendall being thrown in a jail. Still not seeing the logic.

As an aside, out of the billion shows on Netflix there's probably only three that come close to matching only 70 percent of the quality of this show. Long live HBO.

Unfortunately the new guy at HBO wants to get more like Netflix and put out shows all the time.

Quality is bound to suffer with that much saturation.

But back to the point of the thread, this show is fantastic.

I think it was kind of he has nothing left to lose moment I mean you can argue he's already lost the wife and kids and it seems like his whole life has been a quest for his father's approval and he basically became Reek to Logan's Ramsay.... so he might be willing to take down his father even if it implicates himself and he has to take out hmself in the process

And then there's the part where I just kind of helps the plot along for a TV show. I'll allow it.

Also the theme song is awesome

Pusha T remixed it and it works well

Although the instrumental regular version is a certified banger on it's own

I can see it being a satire, but it also has laugh out loud elements that are completely separate from the satire, Tom's bachelor party specifically comes to mind. It's one part comedy, one part psychological drama, and one part office drama. All that being said, they have to stop going to the corporate take over well. I think they've already run it dry.

I'm glad I have Succession because Billions was such a letdown last season. It's like they replaced the whole writing team with amateurs. Couldn't believe how bad it was.

How smart is cousin Greg? Is he just survival smart or is he really playing coy all the time and knows what he is doing from the beginning. He obviously is not as dumb as he portrays, but is he just a little smart or is he diabolical smart?
