Two or 3 plays can't be the reason why the offense didn't have success. That's letting the coach and the team off the hook.

I was listening to Jim Miller and he said that the offense performs better when they're static. The motion confuses the linemen because it changes their blocking assignments.

Mitch had a 6TD game last season. He went from lost to found. It's so weird that he completely regressed to worse than where he started. He clearly needed to work on his timing and touch on mid-range and longer passes...but he was looking competent at the end last season. What the fuck happened?!

This situation with Nagy also boggles. How can a guy talk a good game during the week, talk about balance, running more...then on game day just completely get caught up in the moment and forget everything he was going to do. This is week in and week out for a season and a half now.

It's fucking crazy.

No it isn't. Nagy has control of play calling. He can call a more balanced game. Calling 59 pass plays to 7 run plays is all on Nagy. Sure, it would all look exponentially better if Mitch could make a few of the basic plays that should come naturally to a competent professional QB. The basic game plan falls on Nagy.

Nagy doesn't help Mitch by having him throw the ball 60 times.

I know (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky had a hurt shoulder in the last game but how about we let him run a little more if his passing has regressed?

It makes me wonder if Nagy went into this season wanting to show that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky isn't the quarterback for his system.
