Obviously this is a Reinsdorf joint which means they won’t and they’ll always make the shittiest decision possible and have plenty of dipshits like folks on this board(hi Rick) to defend them but they should trade him. Rebuild around Lauri, White, and see what you have in WCJ on a rookie deal. Lavine and Otto could fetch something and should be launched. Strip down the rest for anything you can get outside of the three I mentioned.

I did not watch the game, but followed it online.

You are that sold on White after one game?

Love the stat line for Lauri...hopefully this is a monster year for him

I’ve been sold on White since draft night and I’ve been sold on Lauri since 5 games into his career.

Probably shouldn’t have gone for the easy 2, down 3, with no timeouts and 4 seconds left.

Was a bold call. Surprisingly the Bulls lost by 1.

Boylen needs to do a better job of giving them something to actually execute. I wish someone would execute him. What an asshole.

Asked about Lavine not shooting the 3 at the end, he said "hey he tried".

That's where we're at.

I was sort of hoping I could make it til November before choosing my surrogate team of the year. Looks like I’ll need to start looking now.

I'm indifferent about LaVine but they should only trade him for a good haul. His contract (which I was down on at the time) will only look like better and better in this market, especially with teams giving out awful deals like the one Jaylen Brown just got.

Yeah I mean don’t trade him tonight but get rid of him by the deadline. Sure, try to get a good haul. But get rid of him.

Stat padding. Didn't want to finish 6-17 with 14 points and a -10 +/-

What do you get for him? The problem is trading him really only brings in another chucker just like him but likely more expensive and or not as good. He doesn’t need to be traded but he needs to be moved into a Lou Williams role. He shouldn’t be handling the ball in crunch time. Off the bench like Lou bum slaying would be ideal. We know that’s not going to happen but that is actually the better option to trading. The rest of the league knows what he is so you won’t get anything good back.

53rd highest paid player and 16th leading scorer last season. 24 years old. You don't trade him.

Guys making more per year that i'd take Lavine over.

Chandler Parsons.
Hassan Whiteside.
Kevin Love
Terry Rozier
Nicholas Batum
Marc Gasol
Serge Ibaka
Malcolm Brogdon
Andrew Wiggins
Otto Porter
Guys Making the money he makes but are nowhere the player that he happens to be.
Tyler Johnson
Goran Dragic
Jeff Teague
Kent Bazemore
Evan Turner
Harrison Barnes.

He is a Great value at that salary. Even if he isn't the best player on a winning team he can still be a valuable player on a winning team.

The Bulls aren't paying him like he is a superstar player so why is everyone rating him as if he is supposed to be a superstar?

Jim Boylen accomplishes that all by himself. Lavine might possibly be an All Star this year.

It wasn't his guys that lit up the Bulls last night. It was Markkanen and Carter's guys that killed the Bulls last night.

Lavine will take heat for having a subpar offensive game but it was the guys that everyone seems to love on here that were getting killed on defense.

Lavine was in foul trouble all game and as Funk and King put it... was playing defense like he didn't want to get near opposing players. King suggested before the half that Lavine needed to be benched for the remainder of the half - he ended up sitting with 3 minutes left.

When Lavine isn't rotating or going to help when the play calls for it...not sure it's always on his teammates. Especially when he already has the reputation.

He did what guys that have 3 early fouls do. Stay away from the 4th one

I saw quite a few late closeouts by Lauri Lauri Markkanen and at the end of the day Washington and Williams were his covers. Not Lavine's and it convenient to place blame on him because of his reputation but he wasn't the reason they lost.

Guys that score like he scores do not come around very often and he is a supreme value at the price they signed him at.

Meanwhile the guy you wanted to have start gave them all of 2 points and looked every bit the backup that he happens to be.

I mean driving for a layup when down 3 with less than 5 seconds left is pretty bad.

Everyone sucked on defense last night. Its obviously not a big concern for Boylen.

Lavine will be fine. He even managed a decent game despite struggling early.

It's hard to tell because Bulls' reporting is so bad, but it sounds like there was a play drawn up that Lavine ignored:

“I mean we had something called, but at that time you’ve got to create. I tried to go out there and make a play, got what I could.”

Just terrible...it's like (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky throwing the ball away on 4th down. Inexcusable.
