Not the dumbest I've ever seen on this site, but this is kind of a stupid question... I was thinking the other day for a little bit about different things, and then I thought about the coaches challenges. Probably lots of ways they could make a better system for that. Then I thought some more, and was thinking about those red flags. Then I thought it would be fun if other sports had red flags, but that's not my question. My question is who is responsible for maintaining the red flags -- do you think the team/coach has to bring them out for every game, or do you think the officiating crew hands them out to both coaches before the game starts? I could see either one being a possibility. I can't find an answer to this anywhere. I might have to call Hub. Of course, he won't know either.

My guess would be that either the refs hand them out, or the equipment guy who has footballs on each sideline hands them to the coach.
