I liked the Raiders as a kid—Kenny Stabler days. Maybe I’ll switch to them. With a lot of draft picks, arrow should be pointing up. Plus, could hit a game or two in Vegas next year. Easier to get there than Soldier Field.

It is never "OK to jump ship". If you are a Bears fan, you are a Bears fan. The question you are asking is the definition of "bandwagon jumpers". If you are a fan of your team, you stick with them, through thick and thin, ups and downs.

I can just imagine all the Bears fans now who are "jumping ship", and then in a few years when the Bears win the Super Bowl, they will claim to have been a loyal Bears fan all along

Be a real Bears fan. Suffer through the bad times.

Bear Down!

Winning is nice and all, but it’s just sports. There have been some pretty entertaining bad Bears teams. I enjoy reminiscing with other Bears fans about the bad things just as much as the good things. Not that there’s much of a choice at this point.

I'd root for the Packers before I'd root for the Viqueens or the Cubs.

This sort of stupid meatballness doesn't do anybody any good.

I’ll always be a Bears fan. I’ll always have memories of that dominant 85 season which was my 1st season watching.

But.. I’ll find players I like on other teams to cheer for when the Bears suck. I dug the 90’s Bills and they were the closest I ever came to considering my ‘other’ team.. I like Mahomes and Brady so I’ll cheer for them (as long as they aren’t playing the Bears).. but I’ll never jump ship. During the Trestman era I did stop watching games tho. That 2nd season was the 1st and only season I ever bailed on.

That is me too. I pretty much only watch Bear's games because I think, in general, that professional football and basketball both suck as sports. I am now getting back into baseball watching because it is a sport which I played well and coached well in. And with the influx of exciting young players coming in, it is exciting to watch.

I still yelled at the TV during the Trestman era.

I like NFL football and watch other teams every week. There are other teams I like to hate. There is no other team that is my team like the Bears. I wouldn't even open myself up to the possibility.

Very close to dumping this team. I'm actually starting to dislike them.

If only it was that easy. Tried switching to Broncos when I was out west but it’s just not the same.

Colts. At least they have a coach who can adjust his gameplan on the fly.

I won’t jump ship.. but I’m heavily considering bouncing on the rest of the season like I did during Trestmans last year. This is just pointless and painful to watch. It’s a waste of fucking time to cheer for this bullshit team and bullshit organization the rest of this year.

They need to clean house from top to fucking bottom and bring in football minds to run this team. It’s hilarious that no matter what GM and coaching staff we bring in the results really don’t vary much -struggle to put an offense together, arrange a solid/good defense, go to the playoffs once every 5-7 years.. rinse, repeat.

Fuck this shit.

Jumping ship is for whores.

You don't have to be an oblivious dope who acts like Kevin Bacon in Animal House, but wholesale changing teams is weak.

I'm never going to change my team allegiance but now I'm almost rooting for a loss each week. If it helps get this thing blowed up good I'm in on losses.

My guess is that people who want to "jump ship" do not actually live in Chicago. Born and raised in Chicago, its nearly impossible to just start cheering for another random team just because we are having a bad season.

Man up. Stick with the Bears.... no matter how bad we are.

I can't wait until spring training for the White Sox starts in Arizona.

I'm pretty much done with this team. There is no point. I'll bandwagon if they make the playoffs, but I'm done devoting my precious weekends and evenings to this shitbox organization.

Best of luck to the rest of you!

Just what I first thought in 1987-88 when Joe Gibbs exposed Ditka & his staff/front offices as frauds & profiteers. You have my condolences.

I won't switch to another football team. However, if they go into this season with the same offensive line and inept offense I just won't watch the games whatsoever. Pace has one chance left to make the Bear's team good and that is using whatever money he has left along with two 2nd round draft picks to bring two offensive tackles and a guard in along with a good all around running back. If he can produce this miracle then I'll support this team but the last year really pissed me off because he had the chance to do something good and instead FAILED big time.

I agree and there have been posts like yours like forever about the Bear's and their F*ed up ownership and management. Many people file through yet nothing changes. It is a horribly run franchise. That and the fact that I think that professional football itself is run stupidly makes me want to turn off the TV really easily.

I won't jump ship...I'll just watch RedZone and avoid the Bears altogether. Like the John Fox and Trestman years.
