Northern anything is pretty awesome. MI, WI, MN etc. even Ontario. Outside of skiing and occasional snowmobile riding I am way past winter though. Summer as short as it is and fall are so great. I can’t justify the day to day winter days though.

Definitely. I don’t envision living there in the winter- just April to October. The key thing is my wife loves the area too. I could easily do Door Co or other comparable areas. She actually doesn’t care for Door Co which I find mind boggling. No complaints here. Northern Michigan will do just fine.
