Like, so bad people laugh at you for actually going to see the film.

For me, it's probably 'Deck The Halls.' I was visiting family in Denver and my little cousins (who were like 7 and 9 at the time) want to go see this so I didn't have much choice. This film was just mind numbingly awful. There wasn't a single laugh, it's a plot thats unfathomable, the the acting is likely worse than you would see at a local high school play.

Dukes of Hazzard. The one with Jessica Simpson. I was around 17 or 18 and went with a buddy and we ended up leaving in the middle of it because it was so goddamn boring. Only time I've left the theater in the middle of a movie.

The Curse. Back when my wife still liked horror movies and I made the mistake of letting her pick. Even the late great Claude Akins couldn't save it.

Dude, Where’s my car. Couldn’t even find someone to go with me. Rolled solo. Got super baked. Movie wasn’t good.

Spawn. There might be something else so bad I’ve repressed the memory of even seeing it though.

I knew one of you fools would list a great movie. Didn't think it would be RR

that Mark Walhburg movie where the trees killed people.

That still gives me a bunch of leverage over my wife on movie selections even to this day.

I've never gotten past the agony of making her suffer through it (because I KNEW it would pick up) then her making me still to the very end just so she could hold it over me forever. I lost the ability to objectively watch it to this day.

I actually liked the movie a lot but I saw Basketball in a theater where the only two people there were me and my friend. That was actually pretty fun.

Rick, Delaney and RR.. I guarantee you've seen far worse than those decent movies you listed.

I don't go to many movies in the theater (anymore). The "In the theater" part of the OP reduces the list drastically. My ex-wife made me sit through many shitty movies...I tried to limit it to a movie that was flat out bad versus a movie many people liked that weren't really my bag....baby.

So again...the one that always sticks out in my mind of sitting through it IN THE THEATER and wondering why in the fuck people claimed it was good....you get...."The Talented Mr. Ripley".

I'll give you 2 more than I know I sat through and questioned the human race:
Eyes Wide Shut
The Pursuit of Happyness

Star Wars, whenever it came out, '77? I was 16 and thought, "Why am I at a kid movie?" when I could be at the drive-in getting to 2nd base.

Heroes with Henry Winkler. I'm guessing no one else here saw that one in the theater. Maybe no one has seen it at all.

It was very weird. But being a Trumpet from flyover country, I'm not really a sexual sophisticate. I would have expected a liberal Lab School guy to understand what was going on.

I understood it fine  , I just wasn't convinced that the asexual or frigid Cruise family would agree to it & they couldn't sell it.
