I was making a one and done joke. Calm down.

And I never said the packers "only" win because of the referees. I said they get the benefit of calls almost every game.

You think there's a conspiracy by the refs to favor the packers?

All irrelevant to the point.

And I've already acknowledged how bad the Bears have been overall since Ditka left.

Nope. Extremely relevant to this argument.

As a Sox fan, I'd be happy with a team making the playoffs 4 straight years and winning a title.
As a Bears fan, I would love the run of either Favre's or Rodgers' with at least one title.

Definitely the rational perspective to have. I fear being a dual Sox/Bears fan is destroying Frank's mind. I know being a Sox fan alone is pretty tough.

I thought I was a big Michael Jordan fan but I got nothing on Frank's Rodgers worship.

Those chargers teams with Brees/Early Phil, LT, Michael Turner and Shawne Merriman that used to shit pump Manning's Colts in the playoffs did less with more but if Rodgers only plays in one Superbowl for his career it would be an underachievement.

It's a little odd how we made fun of IMU for years for saying one WS would be a failure for the Cubs and Frank gladly joined in on the mocking but now Frank is holding Rodgers to that same standard. Maybe he has more in common with IMU than he thought.

Me too. 100%.

Now if the Bears had the second or third best QB of all time on their team for 13 years, I would be screaming that 1 title isn't enough.

The QB in football is just so much different than the can't miss waves of talent the Cubs supposedly had. The Cubs having won nothing in over 100 years adds another different and irrelevant piece.

In this pass crazy day and age where QBs have nearly every benefit of every rule, Aaron Rodgers has played in one Super Bowl. Underachievement.

If he plays in another SB, I will gladly walk this back. Doesn't even have to win the SB, just make another one.

You have to understand how ridiculous this sounds. You're saying that if Brandon Bostick holds on to Seattle's onside kick in 2014 then all of a sudden Rodgers never underachieved

If Jay Cutler didn't hurt his knee, maybe Rodgers has 0 Super Bowl appearances. If my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle.

You said if Rodgers made another SB you would walk back your comments. If Brandon Bostick didn't fumble in 2014 the Packers would have kneeled three times and been in the Super Bowl. So you are saying that if Bostick didn't fumble the onside kick then Rodgers wouldn't have underachieved in his career. It's pretty amusing.

I'll say that. That play could have sealed the game but that wasn't the only one that led to the loss. Rodgers has been bad in his NFC Championship games. 1 to 1 TD/INT ratio.

Takes luck to make it to/win the Super Bowl in a single elimination game system. I'm a huge Brady fan, but I'll admit his legacy might be different if:

1. The Tuck Rule was in place.
2. Vinatieri misses either/both of those 2 game-winning field goals.
3. Carroll runs the ball instead of passing it.

Its not just Bostick in that game. The Packers were up 14-0 in that game I think, yeah? Rodgers managed 0 touchdown drives in the second half, also threw 2 INTs

So yeah, thats part of the underachievement. Had he played better in that game, Rodgers would have taken his team to a second Super Bowl.

Trubis...I mean Aaron Rodgers was 19/34 for 178 yards with 1TD, 2 INT, and a 55.8 QB rating in that NFC title game against the Seahawks. The Packers were up 16-0 as well.

But its all Bostick's fault

I agree that if Rodgers was perfect he would have been better. But if Bostick holds on to the ball Rodgees goes to a second SB and magically no longer underachieves in your view

Thinking this through a bit more it's a pretty low stakes take.

If you're conceding that Rodgers is the 2nd best QB ever, it stands to reason that the fact he's appeared in only one Super Bowl is indeed disappointing.

Neither of Rodgers' INTs resulted in points for Seattle; his redzone INT probably cost GB at least a field goal.

Thank you. Its gotta be Brady #1, and if Rodgers isn't #2, he's #3. You would have a tough time getting me to believe that there have been two QBs other than Brady who were better than Rodgers.

What’s the case that Rodgers is better than Montana? What’s the case he’s better than Peyton Manning?

Nah. Rodgers is maybe 6th or 7th in the all time list.

To me it is:

1. Brady
2. Montana
3. Manning
4. Brees
5. Sid Luckman

2nd tier: in any order

Otto Graham, Rodgers, Staubach, Unitas, Elway
