...but nailed the rest!
Every year I blog my QB rankings going into the season. Was a little off on Mitch (it was probably wishful ranking) but I nailed it on Watson, Lamar Jackson, Minshew, and Mayfield. More proof I should be running an NFL franchise.
The JGWP's BIG 64 List:
Here are the the top 64 QB's in the world (excluding college kids).
1. Todd Brady- deal with it.
2. Patrick Mahomes- the next Jeff George
3. Drew Brees- the cerebral assassin.
4. DeShawun Watson- All he does is make the big throw when you need it. Been doing it since Clemson.
5.Russel Wilson-the next Brees, only with a mobility and a FAR bigger arm.
6.RG3-the single most COMPLETE QB since John Elway.
7.Jeff George- He's been alive for 5 decades and no doubt still throws one of the 3 most beautiful footballs on the planet.
8.Dak Prescott- Can win you Super Bowls.
9.Lamar Jackson-By next year he'll be top 5...maybe top 3. Most people just have NO IDEA how good this kid is and will become. No idea at all.
10.Matt Ryan- still elite.
11.Matt Stafford- One of the 3-5 best arms in the world still.
12. Alex Smith- Minus the leg injury, he’s still the best QB from the class of ’05.
13.Arron Rdogers- the 2ndbest QB of ’05. Way too sloppy with his footwork.
14.Derek Carr- Still a world of potential and we believe Chucky will bring out his best.
15.Case Keenum- arguably the most prolific passer in NCAA history and he’s now an absolute starting QB for over half the league.
16.Jared Goof- Despite a horrific Super Bowl, this guy will be around for YEARS to come.
17.Josh McCown- the 39 year old journeymen is a HEAD COACH on the field and still has excellent accuracy and mobility.
18.Joe Allen- Might be the most impressive physical specimen since Cam Newton. Rocket arm and the mobility of Randall Cunningham.
19. Andrew Suck- what a baby. Talent wasted. FOREVER the 3rdbest QB of the ’12 Draft.
20.Joe Flacco- Still borderline elite.
21.Philip Rivers- how he still puts up the numbers he does with his noodle arm and crabby pants attitude is beyond me, but he finds a way. Timing passer, but when he’s a second off, it’s an INTERCEPTION.
22.Ben Worthlessburger- the fatty as made a career of making lucky throws. Now that his flabby elbow has exploded, it’s all over.
23.Nick Foles- He’s basically living off his SB performance, but his perfect throw as his collar bone exploded shows he’s still the franchise QB the E-gals should have kept.
24.Jacoby Brisset- Andrew who? This kid can flat out play QB. Colts won’t miss a beat.
25. Carson Wentz- He’s no Nick Foles, but his mobility keeps him high. It’s also gonna put him on the bench like RG3.
26.Mitch Trubisky- He’s no Watson. He’s no Mahomes. But this kid can be the next Alex Smith if he puts in the work. And you know how highly we think of Alex Smith.
27.Daniel Jones- I laughed like everyone else when the Giants drafted him. Then he absolutely blew me away in August with his poise, accuracy, size, and mobility. And he’s just as boring when he speaks as all the boring Giants QB’s before him like Eli and Phil Simms. You can and probably will win a Super Bowl with this kid Giants fans.
28.Gardener Minchew- Yes we had this kid here back in August. Wanna know why? Because Mike Leach told the world he’s as good as any QB in the country. We believed him.
29.Kirk The Jirk Cousins- has top 10 TALENT. But a 10 cent brain. Cocky and goofy. Journeymen in the next 3-5 years.
30.Kyler Murray- Size matters not to Yoda or Flutie. Still skeptical, but so far in the NFL he has looked very solid.
31.Jay Cutler- the modern day Jeff George. Probably still throws as good a ball as anybody in the league. He just doesn’t give a shit.
32.Brian Hoyer- He does give a shit and could be the next McCown.
33.Cam Newton- probably the most gifted physical specimen to ever play the position. But he’s weird. Picks on women, even though he dresses like one, and has HORRIBLE accuracy. No longer a starter as you can see.
34.Jamis Winston- Turnover machine, but shows flashes of brilliance. He’s at a crossroads this season.
35.Sam Darnold- Has great potential and should keep climbing this list.
36.Jarett Stidham- Yep. Say hello to one day being the 1stor 2ndbest QB of the ’19 class.
37.Ryan Shitzpatrick- One week he’s Joe Montana. The next he’s Jamarcus Russell. But when he’s hot, he’s a top 15 QB.
38.Eeyore Manning- his arm has lost some zip. He’s a rusty old statue in the pocket. But he’s still a seasoned vet who can manage a game when he’s not turning the ball over, lol.
39.Jimmy Garropolo- He’s accurate. Good enough arm. Need to see more, or this guy might PLUMMET fast.
40.Carson Palmer- Could still play, but stay retired, sir.
41.Josh Rosen- I still think he has the potential to be the 2ndbest QB of the ’18 draft after Jackson. He’s just gotta stop being such a millennial.
42.Machine Gun Kelly- Might be the most talented QB of the ’17 class. But he’s gotta stop being a complete psychopath.
43.Sam Bradford- Accuracy was never his problem. Staying healthy was.
44.Marcus Marioda- He’s already passed the crossroads Winston is approaching. He’s not a franchise QB. But he’ll make a GREAT #2.
45.Teddy Bridgewater- After his knee exploded and was nearly amputated, he is pretty much back to the pocket QB he always was. If he can get over the inury mentally, he can be a solid starting QB eventually.
46.Johnny Football- Can absolutely play in the NFL better than the Browns current derelict. Will he get another shot? Not unless he lights the XFL on fire next year.
47.Colin Kaperjerk- Love him or hate him, this spot is about right. He can sling it and of course is still one of the best running QB’s in the world.
48.Baker Mayfield- He’s a slimeball in every sense of the word. Thinks he’s Favre and because of that mentality, will throw a buttload of INT’s and piss off a lot of coaches and teammates as his career unfolds. Will be calling SEC games within 7-8 years.
49.CJ Beathard- he might be the best QB on the 49ers. Just needs more opportunities.
50.Gino Smith- His career has been a sad waste because he’s actually a solid QB. Will be a #2 for another 4-5 years.
51.Ryan Tannehill- Physical talent no doubt. But he just never had “it”. Another late career McCown-like possibility though.
52. Nick Mullins- Ugly delivery but the kid showed he can deliver it.
53.Tryrod Taylor- Falling down this list each year, but a decent backup.
54.Matt Barkley- The BIG SCHOOL version of Nick Mullens. You don’t know how he delivers some of his throws but he does. Horrible athlete.
55.Trevor Siemian- Could be a solid #2 in the league for years to come. Mobile and accurate.
56.David Blough- another rookie nobody knows about, but the fact that the Lions TRADED for him in August is HUGELY telling. He outdueled Dwayne Haskins last year. Kid can play.
57.Dwayne Haskins- speak of the devil. He WILL climb. Fast. But is VERY raw with a crappy attitude. But in 2-3 years, he could climb more spots than ANYONE on this list.
58.Nathan Peterman- people think he’s the worst QB alive. But he’s actually not. He just played for the Bills. And Gruden knows it too.
59.Brock Osweiler- He actually was one of 4 QB’s to beat the Bears vaunted defense last year. He could climb if he ever gets another shot.
60. Nate Sudfeld- Doug Pederson liked him enough to make him Philly’s #2. He’s solid.
61.Matt Moore- tough old vet. Can manage you to a win.
62.AJ McCarron- Like Watson, all he ever did was win. Winners should NEVER be underestimated. If he ever gets a real shot, he could climb many spots.
63.Drew Lock- has probably the best arm talent of the ’19 class. Is he Matt Stafford or Ryan Leaf?
64. Cardale Jones- HUGE arm. But has never taken the step to the pro’s. But the arm talent will keep him around every August.
What the fuck is wrong with you?
Honestly, why do we let this continue?
