That is some minor league bs

Also try putting your qb under center and running straight ahead on third and one.

So Nagy is saying he was hurt....so if that is true...then that makes the 3rd and 1 option call even more stupid. You have your QB who is dealing with a hip injury run an option play on a huge 3rd and 1

This fucking team is a mess

I think Nagy is saying Mitch took himself out for injury.
That's horseshit. He looked like he wanted to cry. He was removed. That's it.

So the guys are saying if Mitch was deemed "hurt", then he doesn't have to talk to the media.

AB and Briggs both believe Mitch wasn't hurt

I don't see how anyone who watched could even come close to buying that he was hurt

LoHo said Nagy begins his pressers talking about the injuries; Mitch's wasn't mentioned until he was asked the question about it

Seems that Nagy needs a veteran OC to run his offense as bad as he needs a veteran DC to run his defense. Pace should tell him to fire his entire offensive staff and bring in a proven veteran OC to run the offense or they will have to move on to someone else. Fear that Mitch gives him an excuse for this season and we will be subjected to the exact same thing next year after they sign another teams backup QB to run the show.

Nagy wasn't lying that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was injured. But from his speech it seemed like Nagy was looking for an excuse to pull him anyway. He over-dramatized it and made it bigger than it was.

The result was a serious vote of no-confidence of (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky by the coach. Nagy is saying he is going to win or lose on his terms.

Considering the next opponent, the Giants, are terrible, look for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to heal up and be ready to put up some meaningless numbers.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky’s excuse was that “the shape he was in he couldn’t help the team at that point”.

Isnt that what was supposed to happen with the severely injured Rams offensive line and secondary? Other than donald the bewrs thought that the rams were a get healthy opponent.

I go back to the Saints game with only 7 rushing attempts. Nagy should have been fired on the spot after that game.

Nagy's ineptitude is completely independent of the fact that Mitch is a bust....he has zero business being an NFL head coach. Yes, he should be fired as soon as possible.

Also, if Nagy really did bench Mitch, the time to do it was during/after the Saints game.

And at this point, playing Chase Daniel does nothing for the Bears going forward. Either Mitch or Tyler Bray needs to start.

Best-case scenario is 6-10, I'd say Nagy's gotta go.

He won't be fired but I really would like some honest explanations at the end of the year from the GM about how this went so bad so fast. I blame the coach and offensive line a ton. Mitch to me was not as good as he was last year and can't be as bad as he shows this year.

does anyone remember the aftermath of the week 1 GB game? after a preseason of year two way more offense to be implemented....combined with reports from beat writers that mitchell looked terrible in camp..... I recall reading/hearing after the GB loss that the coaching staff decided to already dumb the offense down for dummy mitchell. what if the entire offensive woes can be attributed to the fact mitchell cant process information fast enough or correctly and that perhaps he is just dumb? what is the coaching staff supposed to do about that?

going forward they should run the damn offense like it is supposed to be run and if the QB fucks up..... well the tape doesnt lie.... instead of running this dumb down version of the offense which still looks stupid. no more catering to dummy mitchell.

I could buy the dumbing down as a reason. And I can even excuse Nagy not changing the run game to accommodate him. Maybe that really does explain all of it. Last season Mitch pulled magic out of his ass and this year he isn't as lucky. Nagy simply refuse to accept not running his mostly pass offense and will stick to his guns until the GM gets him a QB that can do it.
