You should read his Wikipedia page. It's a hoot. Search "Cliff Alexander basketball" because he is not the first Cliff Alexander people search for.

His "College Career" is all about how people thought preseason he would be great but then he never did anything and then didn't get drafted after he went pro. Scoring 10 points against Rider gets cited.

BTW, what kind of F-d up Conference does "Preseason Freshmen of the Year" awards? What does that even mean?

Code:
College career
Alexander entered his college career as the Big 12 Conference Preseason Co-Freshmen of the Year (along with Myles Turner) according to a vote of the league's head coaches.[137] In its preseason top 100 player ranking, Alexander was listed at number 27 by ESPN.[138] USA Today named him to its Preseason All-American third team[139] and NBCSports.com named him as an honorable mention for its Preseason All-American team.[140] He was also listed as a John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 candidate and a Wayman Tisdale Award Watch list selection.[141][142] Alexander was also included in the early December Naismith Award top 50 watch list.[143]

Alexander began the season coming off the bench.[144] On November 24, Alexander had his first double-digit output with 10 points against Rider.[145] In the 2014 Orlando Classic semifinals against Tennessee on November 28, he posted 16 points.[146] Then in the finals against #20 Michigan State on November 30, he contributed 4 blocks.[147] On December 5 during the Big 12/SEC Challenge contest against Florida, Alexander posted a team-high 10 rebounds along with 12 points for his first collegiate double-double.[148][149][150] On December 20, Alexander was expected to be in the starting lineup for the first time against Lafayette,[151] but he was not.[152][153] However, he started on December 22 against Temple.[154] On January 19 against #19 Oklahoma, Alexander posted 13 points and 13 rebounds.[155] The 13 rebounds in just 23 minutes played marked a career high for Alexander and an individual season high for the Jayhawks.[156] Alexander was named Big 12 newcomer of the week on January 26, 2015.[157][158] Alexander made his second start of the season on February 10 against Texas Tech, replacing Jamari Traylor in the lineup and posting 10 points, 4 blocks and 5 rebounds.[159][160] On February 28, Alexander was inactivated due to an undisclosed NCAA investigation as a precautionary measure.[161] He did not play any games after February 23 because of the investigation of his mother's initiation of pre-NBA draft loan processing.[162]

I'd still like to kick that father's teeth in and I'm not even that big of an Illini fan.

You knew everything you needed to know about the situation by watching that moment.

Le Mans Sarthe (2019–present)
On July 30, 2019, he has signed with Le Mans Sarthe of the LNB Pro A. [194]

He doesn't start.

He don't start? Cardinal Richelieu could probably take up hoops and play for them French leagues. How do you sink so far?

I saw some conflicting information. He might start.

There is a surprising lack of information on the A-level French professional basketball league online.

But, hey, that hat trick was a sick burn....

More than anything its going to come down to what sort of season he has. If he has a great season and doesn't fall out with the Irvins then they will make sure he signs with Illinois.

One of the nights I was at Oktoberfest, I got separated with another guy from the group at the end of the night. We didn't have lodging so we figured we would sleep on the floor of the train station. Soon into that he threw up all over himself. He gave me his credit card and told me to find him a hotel. This is Oktoberfest in Munich so the only thing I could find him were upscale places. Anyway, I got him to the hotel. He showered and passed out. This was before satellite TV could get you an English station you wanted wherever you lived so I hadn't watched tv for months by then. This place had a great TV, so I sat there drunk eating those cinnamon sugar almonds they have in Germany watching tv for hours into the night. The big late night feature was a French a league game featuring former IU and Providence legend Delray Brooks. I wouldn't watch him play in college games but I sat there that night mesmerized as he schooled Europe's elite.

I remember you predicted he would drop the Illini cap a day or two before it occured. That was almost as impressive as that time you predicted the tsunami.

Flashes of brilliance there. Lots of Zioncock!

That bashing of the ref should make for some good board memes. Of course, I can no longer use Photoshop on my Macbook...
