I'd guess the much more common scenario is Joe X. bragging to his friends that he is getting with Mrs. Teacher, and the friends are like, you are so not. The the boy says I'll show you and then pulls out the text messages and shows some of his friends. Then they tell their friends that Joe X. is getting it on with Mrs. Teacher, and they say, you are full of it, and they say "No, I'm serious dude... I saw the texts." And then word continues to spread until someone starts mentioning this to the teachers or one of the teachers overhears it. They the administration gets Mrs. Teacher in a room to see if she will confess, she doesn't and says she will start distancing herself from Joe X. so there is no appearance of any issue. Then they call the police to report rumors about an inappropriate relationship, and then they get Joe X. and his parents in a room where he denies it as well. They ask to see the phone, Joe X. has by now wiped it out, but they get the text messages from the cell company and the last message is from Mrs. Teacher telling him to clear his phone -- that people are looking into it. By now, they have pulled Mrs. Teacher's credit cards and see a room was booked at the Comfort Inn for last Friday night. Joe X. says he was with his friends hanging out, but the cell phone records show Joe X.'s cell phone was at the Comfort Inn that night. Mrs. Teacher finally gives up and admits to it all and gets arrested, and subsequently divorced. She either goes to jail, or gets a probation deal and moves back with her parents in the country since she can't teach anymore and has no means of support in a town where everyone gives her the stink eye. The press keeps Joe X.'s name out of the paper, but once the kids know, they post vids and pics on Insta and VSCO with his name in there as the "teacher banger." He finishes out the last year and a half of high school just waiting to start over again in college where he will be able to start hooking up with girls that don't know his past, and guys that aren't constantly cracking jokes behind his back. In the end, Mrs. Teacher wishes she didn't do it... even though her husband was providing for her lifestyle with his high income business job, they didn't have the spark 6 years into their marriage, and Joe X. was just such a cute, innocent, loveable guy. Joe X. was just horny and they both found the taboo of hooking up to be a big turn on.

A young, married teacher in Michigan who was fired earlier this week amid allegations of having sex with two students — including one illicit romp inside a car — is now facing criminal charges, authorities said.

The former special education teacher, Kathryn Marie Houghtaling, is set to be arraigned Friday on six counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe told the Detroit News.

Houghtaling, 26, was fired Tuesday from Rochester High School after an internal investigation by Rochester Community Schools. District officials said the alleged incidents occurred outside of school hours.

But sources told WXYZ that Houghtaling — whose social media accounts were largely wiped clean of identifying data as of Friday — had sex with two students in both an apartment and a car.

The district’s superintendent notified parents of the allegations in a statement on Tuesday, saying that the charges are related to incidents involving “inappropriate conduct” with students outside of school hours.

“The safety and welfare of our students and staff is always our primary concern,” read the statement, which was obtained by The Post. “The district fully cooperated with law enforcement officials throughout the investigation. In order to protect the integrity of the criminal investigation process, the district did not publicly disclose any information that could have a negative impact on the case while the investigation was pending.”

Houghtaling, of Sterling Heights, did not return a message seeking comment early Friday. It’s unclear whether she has hired an attorney.

Some of the teacher’s neighbors, meanwhile, said they were shocked by the accusations.

“You expect the best when your student goes to school,” neighbor Lazette Parks told WXYZ. “Whatever she did, I’m quite sure the board did what they needed to do.”

Another neighbor, Bart Fox, said he’s having a hard time coming to grips with what Houghtaling allegedly did.

“That’s gross, that’s disgusting,” Fox told the station. “I mean, she should be embarrassed of herself.”

Fox said he’s now concerned about the safety of his own family.

“My daughter, really she plays out here in the summertime with a whole bunch of kids from down the street,” he said. “Like, are they really safe?”

Oakland County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Paul Walton told the Detroit Free Press that at least one of Houghtaling’s alleged encounters with the students, which occurred in November and December, took place inside a car.

Houghtaling, who also previously taught in Pontiac, is now facing up to 15 years in prison if convicted, the Detroit Free Press reported.
