Tony's pairing with Julie was an odd one. Even matched with flamboyant Larry Tony is really laid back.Tony is an independent thinker who doesn't follow the crowd. Julie would be amazed at how unhip Tony was. When he produced Les, Les would stifle his opinions like he does to all his producers, and Tony pretty much then just gave Les short answers. His Bulls podcast is very good.

Every time I hear Tony speak, I find him to be a dumb ass. I don't even understand why this is a better job then the one he has. Whatever. Congrats.

She paid him one time, to go to a movie and report on that movie the next day. She paid for the ticket, popcorn, candy, and drink. Great radio right there.

Holmes show is more like a, "Best of the Score", show which relies on replays from the previous nights play by play and taped segments from other shows to fill the few hours he is one the air. He may rely on producers more than any other show in the history of the station. Amazing how little they pay the producer who pretty much develops all the content for the show.

Laurence was even worse, boasting about how he took Tony to Gibson's to give him an idea what it was like to eat at a nice place.

Tony agreed he can finally go to a doctor or dentist. Unbelievable the producer of Larry's show with no health insurance. He was there all day a lot up from Larry's show, Bulls/Cubs games up to the beginning of Les's show. Not a member of the tribe so nobody will talk it up for him? Wonder what the insurance cutoff line is?

It's totally believable when it's an employer's responsibility to provide health insurance. Why do it if you can get away with not doing it?

Probably kept him under an average of 30 hours a week. Holmes only has a 2 hour show. The podcast stuff with Julie probably did not count.

And all the hours Tony spent on various score podcasts plus his multiple producer hats he wears he's not considered insurance worthy? Tidbits on how producers are treated at the score is getting uglier and uglier.

When you work in a declining industry there is no need pressure on the employer to be competitive in the benefits realm. If the kid had the smarts to get into healthcare or engineering he would be more marketable and likely be offered a stronger benefits package. Kind of funny how you see all the commercials that talk about being your own boss or working as a contractor and making your own schedule, they never mention that the cost of those type of jobs is having to find and pay for your own benefits packages.

Laurence said that Tony had worked as a consultant for him on his non-Score podcast. Sounds like a 1099 gig to me.
