Yeah I don't get Walt's love of the coach.

He would not be hired as a head coach by any other NBA team if he was fired tomorrow.

Here it is Matt give the guy a friggin chance! Organizations have gotten rid of Q, Thibs, & Maddon and replace it with what? Maybe it's is time for management shakeups. Earlier in this thread I ask who could coach this group to the playoffs? This is what I get from the boards hoops bigfoot
Greg Popovich
Doc Rivers
Rick Carlisle
Eric Spoelstra
Mike Budenholzer
Brad Stevens
Nate McMillan
which one of these guys would leave where they are to come coach Da Bulls? The answer is quit simple.....none. So being a shit coach is benching your "Star" Player for having 3 defensive laps in a row, benching the biggest underachiever possibly in franchise history ( The White Eddy Curry ) during the 4th quarter is so terrible then fire his ass. Then in 3 moths you guys will want him fired :( I'll sit back and watch how this plays out :D

Well Hoops (too bad you ain't Lori) Lightfoot there is this. There are much better coaches to be had than this clown and we have already watched this "play out" for about a year now.

This dude isn't qualified enough to coach Simeon High School. He is a dope that has already changed course on the philosophy he espoused at the time he became Bulls coach. If that doesn't tell you that he doesn't know what the hell he is doing then nothing will.

He also isn't a guy that has to "get up to speed" on the roster either. He was the lead assistant under Hoiberg and surely he had to have thought about how he'd coach the team while he was busy stabbing Hoiberg in the back.

Lastly saying that we should keep this doofus because Pop and Doc aren't available is quite possibly the dumbest horseshit rationale that i have ever heard for refusing to fire someone.

I can't say that this team is horseshit, because that would imply that I've listened to more than about 8 minutes of game action this year.

But from an organizational management perspective, this is a tire fire. For better or worse, JR's other team has settled on an identity - they're going to be "Timmay and the Cubans" and they are making moves to build that identity.

The Blackhawks struggled for a bit, and now they've settled into "Every Night is an All Star Game, defense optional" mode. Like it or hate it, they're embracing it and they have the pieces (a couple of HOF on the front 6, some young scoring forwards and two ++ goalies) to pull it off.

What the fuck is this team's identity? No point firing the manager until JR decides what it's going to be.

Levine, Lauri, WCJ, Coby - there is no cohesive message with this roster construction.

They may have moved from the Berto Center, but if this team has an identity, it is "Something to amuse the STH from Deerfield while they talk about their marketing deals with their guest." Somewhat amusing, a white foreigner for the MAGA racists to latch onto, and it's easy to leave after the 3rd period if the deal isn't going to work out.

Two of the last three Bulls coaches have turned out to be worse than Vinny Del Negro.

You never seem to have a thought that doesn't involve something i've said for some reason.

I really do seem to be in you dupes head (though none of you will ever admit it) for some reason.

He asked you a direct question and you immediately jumped to something that i stated 3-4 weeks ago. Though you don't want a "pissing match". Sure you don't.

Others on here are loathe to discuss anything with you in case you haven't noticed. I'm actually shocked that they actually asked this particular question as they had to know that you wouldn't really be able or want to answer it.

With a competent coach they contend for or make the playoffs.

GarPax need to go too.

The sad part is that you'd think doing an actual coaching search and interview for once would have to yield a better candidate than Boylen whenever he's fired, but I'm honestly not sure if Paxson even has the slightest idea of what to look for when considering coaching candidates in the first place. Maybe that's why he let Jerry pick Thibs, Gar bid against himself for Hoiberg, and has been all in on promoting Boylen.

Vinny had Derrick Rose before his knees went to shit. That covered up a lot of incompetence.

It isn't like making the playoffs is Pie In The Fucking Sky. Bulls are 2 games back of #8.

Seems like a no brainer to bring in someone who at least isn't a meathead.

Will Perdue and Kendall Gill believe that this guy is joke. There isn't a game that doesn't go by where they aren't openly questioning the decisions that he happens to make.

He nearly blew the game last night. At least he finally had the good sense to halt the college styled rotation system for once.

Looks like he might have saved his job last night. Supposedly Pax was out west watching these games. Him and the guy from the Athletic.
