didn't see that tour, first show was March 23rd, 1994 - Red Bird Arena, ISU.

https://archive.org/details/tsp1994-03-23.flac16

Nice set list. I like the comments, too--someone mentioned Grog's pizza. Awful stuff, but good at 1:30 am.

in 89 and 90, it seemed like they played every night. I got dragged to see them play, and eventually, I was like, "They're pretty good."

"* Before "Drown" Billy thanks the "10 or so people" who used to come see them at the Gallery four years or so before this show."
I was there and vividly remember this comment...lol
I served them their lasagna dinner that night (Button 48). it was actually the 2nd time I saw them, as they opened for the Chili Peppers at Braden Auditorium November '91

The Gallery was an interesting bar....very appropriate that they played there. It wasn't my #1 bar on campus, but I went there somewhat frequently, depending on who I was hanging out with for the night. The downtown strip was pretty cool before they "classed it up". Damn shame. Pub II is all that really remains.

I didn’t like it but it’s a W.
The outcome was not in question. They were garbage time stats, like those two TDs the Bears got against the Saints. Defenses routinely give up chunks of yards in the middle of the field in exchange for taking time off the clock.

When it mattered, the Dallas offense did virtually nothing after their opening drive.

It mattered in the 4th :(

Blame Anthony Miller then, but not the defense.

I blame the defense. It was in reference to this:

Put a prop bet on Mitch tonight. Has to throw for more passing yards and more passing TD's than Dak. 4.5 to 1 payout. I like Mitch's chances.

I understand.

But if Miller doesn't drop that first down catch, then the much of what occurred later for the Dallas offense never happens.

All the prevent defense does is prevent you from winning.

What team won the game last night, dickhead? And what team was playing Prevent defense basically the entire 4th quarter?

Hint; the answer to both questions is the same.

They went from dominating the Cowboys offense(outside of the 1st drive), to letting them run roughshod down the field in the last ten minutes. They got lucky, but it still makes zero sense instead of just sticking with the defense that throttled them to begin with. Get the ball back and kill clock on offense. Yards for time is a terrible trade most of the time.

I didn't answer your questions because I don't respond gas-lighting and ad-homily attacks.

The human bowel movement that is cHuck Pagano took a great defense and nurtured it

I said before this game that for some reason, the first drive by the opposition is frequently this way in almost all of their games. I don't know why this always seems to be the case. It'd be a good question to ask Pagano.

Interesting comments by Patrick Mannelly on Mitch post game last night. He said to paraphrase him, "We all know thinking isn't Mitch's thing. He can only count to two...not four". I'm sure he was talking pocket Mitch. But he never qualified the statement in that direction. Or, didn't say if Mitch had the smarts that he could be a sound pocket passer in the future.

Gotta say that Cory Patterson is sure as hell impressing me. He was awesome in that game and should probably be given more touches in the offense.
