God damn the playoffs are going to be sweet. Until the Pats find some way to suck the joy out of it.
I'm gonna be that guy. Here we go:
This is the year the Pats dynasty comes to an end. They can't keep up with elite offenses because Brady's more limited than ever before and has obvious trust issues with everyone except Edelman and White. They're done.
No. This is the year they do it again and it's BECAUSE everyone thinks theyre done.
I thought that was last year. If they had Brown I wouldn't say they're done but there are obvious issues at WR and TE for them. Anyway I understand the pessimism but also the competition is just too good this time around. Ravens, Chiefs, 49ers, and Saints are legit candidates to dethrone them.
Lack of a TE does the Pats in. Love them, but they miss Gronk a lot.
I agree that TE is a major hole for them, even a TE that can make a couple catches would be helpful, much less how great Gronk was at blocking and catching.
They got reamed by Jerome Bogar and his crew- How TF can they blow the fumble return dead- let the play finish and review the fumble. Can it really be that hard?
Then, after NE uses its challenges just to get things right, they can't have one to show the RB did NOT step out (I thought ALL scoring plays were reviewed, oh wait, only IF Jerome declared it a score, then they can review it), and the DPI in the end zone subsequent was as bad as the sideline rape in the NO/MN game a couple of years ago.
For a league looking to "just get it right", they were no where close to right in that game, they took 14 points off the board.
