Drops, missed field goals, and a blown call that stood out even with all the other bad calls we've seen this season. Carr slid for a 1st down 2 yards in bounds and they stopped the clock so Jacksonville didn't have to burn their last time out. One of the old bastards was standing right there and none of the other officials came over to "help" him out. It was the kind of call that leads to a demotion after the season. They really f'd this one up and had chances to make it right and doubled down instead.

I was hoping we'd lose so not too big a deal. We've got a lot of work to do and need the picks. If we finish 6-10 and the Bears finish 7-9 we have a decent chance of drafting Lamb and Simmons.

There were also some questionable at best referee calls in that game.

NFL officiating overall has been brutal this season.

He lacks the size and arm strength that scouts tends to over-value, but he's smart and accurate with a quick release. IMO those are more important skills, particularly if you have a coach that understands how to use them.
