Olin sounded pretty dumb making excuses for James Daniels(paraphrasing) "why leave Daniels one on one vs Kenny Clark"

That doesn't seem to be too much to ask from a 2nd round pick.

He was describing the type of block that Daniels was being asked to make. He basically said that he would bet on the elite player winning that matchup nearly every time.

If a HIGH 2nd round interior lineman can't make that block, then you made a bad draft pick.

He's clearly taken a few steps back this year. He looked really good last year.

James Daniels could very easily be a victim of Nagy.

There is a talent issue on offense outside of Robinson and Miller but I'm confident that Nagy's stubbornness is the biggest issue with the offense. I called it earlier this year.

Robinson is an all pro talent playing like a pro bowler and Miller is a less athletically gifted Antonio Brown who plays like Mohammad Sanu. I think its hard to say whether these guys lack talent except for the obvious ones like Leno.

Whitehair is the only offensive lineman who we know is good. Montgomery's vision and decision making concerns me but I like how hard he runs.

It really pisses me off that when the Bears cut Davis, they had the choice to move Nall or Whyte from the practice squad. They chose Nall and have done nothing with him. The Steelers plucked Whyte from the PS and he has 99 yards on 16 carries the past 4 weeks. He was also already an experienced producer on special teams.

That move is just a real breakdown in talent evaluation. Whyte has at least one ready NFL level skill in his elite speed and probably two in his punt/kickoff returning. Nall is a plodder who, if all goes well, will be able to scratch out an NFL career. How do you not see that? The Steelers did. That's why they are the Steelers

I was surprised the Steelers gained from him where the Bears saw nothing.

There has to be some fundamental issue that needs explanation after the season ends regarding the offensive blocking. The line and TEs can't just be called bad. There has to be a reason other than injury to Long that explains last year to this year. Last year there was great play and contract extensions were being passed out like crazy.

I was not. The guy had talent but was stuck behind Devin Singletary, who looks really good as a rookie at Buffalo

Steelers were also sneaking grabbing Snell from Kentucky.

The Bears are going to have a lot of money coming off the books. Jackson and Robinson are the only guys you have to extend.

I would like to lock up Cohen and bring back Kwiatkowski (even with the stone hands)

That dropped INT yesterday was pretty amusing

The OT have both been like an old car you are trying to squeeze another 10K miles out of. Each year they end up being OK enough where you address some other priority and feel that you can live with them one more season. The car broke down this year.

Now, I think both of them can be league average. However, with these two you absolutely must have a TE on your roster who can block. One of the two of them need help virtually every play. For some unknown reason the Bears decided to take a 30 year old career OT and have him drop weight for conversion to TE. Then they chose not to back him up with a sure thing in case the experiment did not work. Sowell ended up sucking at TE and that bitch Burton had no fortitude to even try to be good at it.

Here is what I would do: Sign Nick Vannett in free agency. He's 6'6", 260 and has played for three teams that know something about blocking TE in Ohio State, Seahawks and Steelers. He's still young and was pretty well regarded as an all around TE four years ago in the draft (he's disappointed as a receiver). Bring Burton back. His nerves can now be relieved of blocking duties and he did show ability as a pass catcher last year. Then, draft a guy in the middle rounds. My personal favorite is Kmet.

Sun in his eyes. I'm only half kidding. It was my first thought on the replay.

I thought that on a couple plays with the sun from that corner.

I might agree if the pass was one with loft. That was a line drive so his eye level should have never reached the sun

It's a low sun on Dec 15. When you drive south at 2 PM, you have put the visor down. I just did this Friday.

Just a thought I had on the replay they showed from the south end zone. Long shadows and bright sun. However, when baseball players lose the ball, they point to the heavens. 44 grabbed his head and called himself an idiot cocksucker(paraphrasing).
