But the correct answer is there is no "football hell" in the NFL.

You have to be really incompetent to be in football hell. No one has been better than the Ohio teams but the Bears tried to put up a fight.

You get in hell in the NBA because outside of a Leonard situation, superstars get drafted top 5 and really isn't feasible trade up unless the draft class sucks.

The Ravens got Lamar and the end of the first round. The Chiefs navigated from a late 1st round position up to get Mahomes.

NFL hell is a myth. There are simply good GMs and bad GMs.

Seems like teams have two options for success...

1. Find a great QB in the draft and take advantage of his initial 3-4 year window by being able to pay other players while he's on his rookie deal (Wilson, Mahomes, Jackson, etc).
2. Have a Hall-of-fame QB who costs a ton, but can overcome other shortcomings on your team (Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc.).

The Bears have missed their window on #1, and obviously Mitch is not gonna be #2.

So yes, they are in hell (at least for one more year, when they can cut bait with Mitch).

Football hell is why the RAIDERS traded Khalil Mack. It sucks.

And at 6-8 who can argue with the results ?

Corect. It's a developmental year.

Chicago was supposed to be contending for a title. Instead, they are just a .500 team with a 23 million dollar a year guy who doesn't show up.

When will the Raiders be contending for a title?
