The Packer fan irrational hate for him has been more incorrect than correct this year. He's had a pretty decent season, not great but certainly not someone I'd be upset to be back for the same money for another year.

Bears fans hat of (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky or Packers fans hate of Dix, which is more irrational? As a flagship member of (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's ALS, I would argue it's Packers fans hate of Dix. He isn't special, but he definitely isn't a liability either.

The Bears let Adrian Amos go and the Pack grossly over paid for a guy who is a middle of the road NFL safety.

You're going to have a bad time if you're judging Safety play by "production". The Bears have received worse safety play for 1/3rd of the price. You're not going to find a clip of an undrafted practice squad guy juking Amos out of his shoes.

I think you're probably bright enough to realize how little information can be gleaned from those stats. If you're not factoring in missed tackles then total tackles won't tell you a single thing about how the player performed.

the way Packers fans bitched about him I thought he might be a problem in run support. I think he has been pretty decent in tackling. His all around game has been good. I'd have no problem if he came back on one year contract.

Those types are dinosaurs. Even Amos had experience as a corner in college. The era of the run stuffing free safety is over. Give me two excellent corner guys who are willing tacklers.

Eddie Jackson has missed MANY tackles this year going for the strip instead of just trying to get the ball carrier down.

HHCD functions well within the Bears defense b/c he's just a plug. Other great players are there to do the heavy lifting. MANY Packers fans stated this upon the signing. HHCD is perfect for a JAG role.

Packers needed a leader in the secondary. Amos brought stability and IQ to the secondary.
