Anyone?

Favorite Midwest "resorts"? Have a season pass to Wilmot but that gets old quickly.

I always liked Powderhorn in the UP.

Haven't been there since the fucking Tuck Rule game, though.

When I used to ski...

Wilmot, Alpine, Devil's Head, Blackjack Mountain, Indian Head, Powderhorn, Bittersweet.

Cascade Mt is pretty good. We frequent Alpine.

Cascade is fine if you are by the Dells. I have to agree highly with those that mentioned Blackjack and Indianhead. There used to be a place long ago up there Ski Brule. Not sure if it is renamed or closed or what.

I learned to ski at Devilshead and Cascade which are still pretty good for the midwest. In high school it is was the Playboy Club (now The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva) and Wilmot. Now I'd recommend Granite Peak in Wausau which is actually taller than Powderhorn and considerably closer.

It’s been a few years but I second the Granite Peak recommendation. Higher elevation, more runs and I think a few high speed lifts. Relatively easy to get to. I’m slightly biased because that is where I was born but it’s a nice area in general and probably a lot more things to do off the slopes as well.

Always did powderhorn and Indian head back in the day but I’m thinking it’s been 30 years. Cold as fuck up in the up though.
