So his season is officially over. Placed on I.R.

He will hit free agency in the off season. Anyone want him back?

He's a heckuva player, but his body is held together with bubble gum and popsicle sticks at this point. I'd only re-sign him if he's going to come at a cheap price.

I would want him back if the price was right. I would not count on him as a starter all year. Chances are another desperate team will sign him to a 1 year contract and play 10-12 games for them.

He'd be a nice addition to the Packers next season.

For the right price I’d keep him in mind.

You guys are too soft.. he's 30 years old, he's played in 45 of 64 games as a Bear. That ain't gonna go up. A guy missing 30% of games in his prime ain't reliable.

tease that out a little further to when he was with the Broncos and I think you would see that has defined his career.

Kwiatkowski has shown himself to be a nice, in house replacement. Unfortunately, he also hits FA this year. My guess is he would prefer to stay with the Bears if he can start and I don't think he will have outrageous demands.

I love Trevathan but he is like Callahan last year. You can't make the team from the ice tub.

I suppose if Kwit's market goes crazy and Trevathan will accept a 1-2 year deal I'd bring him back.

Yeah, I really like Trevathan as well. He's just a phenomenally tough, tenacious, and hard-hitting MFer with a great feel for the game. Kwiakoski actually seems to be a similar player to Trevathan in this regard. The knock on him, though, is his lack of coverage skills. I'm not convinced, however, that this assessment holds true based on what we've seen this year. In fact, it seems to me that Kwiatkoski has recently performed better in coverage than Trevathan has during his Bears tenure.

Kwiatkowski lacks the speed and athleticism. He's generally in the right place.

Good to know he's not suffering from the same level of disorientation as Joe Biden.

Trevathan's injury history has undermined his athleticism for years.

Just needs a pair of hands!

Most linebackers do. He knows how to run over Packer running backs.

I think it's pretty clear he has developed his all around game. He has shown quite a bit on passing downs this year. Kwiatkowski also provides them a bit of a different skill at LB as he is more traditionally sized than any of the other speed LB they have. He can take on blocks rather than running around them.

Whatever happened to Iyegbuniwe? The Bears are down two starters at his position and he still cannot sniff the field.

Kwitkowski deserves to be their starting LB next season. If Trev wants to finish out his career as a Bear, then sign him to a reasonable substitute level contract. When he is healthy he is a good player.
