Last time I saw a HR flicked over a Oppo fence like that was Sammy. But I can admit he was on something.

Guy,looks like a LB, was a former 1st round pick, then talked about not even making the team in his third year, comes out of nowhere to hit 18 HR.

Hey, guys never used just to be OK, they all had an excuse for using. If it was to get back faster, just to get back or just to stay around.

I know nobody in the Sox Nation will agree, but Luiz Gonzales did this one year too.

and I was told last Monday be every Sox fan, the manager and the GM these games didn't matter that much? B.S. Ozzie wanted these games BAD

Hey I have called different Sox players like Joe "I Dive for every ball" Crede out for a few years, but as a Sox fan which of your players used HGH or Roids over the past 4 years or are the Sox totally clean and Every other team in baseball was guilty?

or was that not a flick of that bat for a Oppo HR?

None of us no who is on or not on it. They do test now though. If he's on it he will get caught. It's stupid and irresponsible to just throw out baseless accusations.

That being said, Im pretty sure Zambrano, Ramirez, Soto, Marmol, Lee, Fukudome, and Dempster(except for Friday) are all on 'roids. If it werent for the Roids all these guys would suck and the Cubs would be in last place.

If I thought so I would say it. I don't think Quentin is. They test for steroids, Big Fan. Now, could be HGH, but that could be a lot of guys. From what I've heard HGH doesn't build muscle. It just helps recovery. I'm sure a lot of guys are still on HGH in baseball. Christ Big Fan, we're at the half way point and Quentin has 18 homers. On pace for 36. That's not a "steroid type total." He was hurt last year. He was a highly thought of prospect. So he didn't totally come out of no where. Quentin beat Marmol today. That's it. Won't happen too often with Marmol. Marmol had him 0-2. Give Quentin some credit.

Ball carries at the Cell in the summer, Big Fan. He got good wood on that ball. Marmol throws hard. Hard fastballs provide their own power.

Quentin admitted he didn't really see that pitch well. Just got lucky.

Hey FavreFAG-Fuck you asshole. I have been busy this weekend, just like last weekend, not all-consumed by message board stuff. When I was out of town for a wedding last weekend, nobody was asking, where is Steve with his comments now? Why isn't he rubbing it in, that the Cubs are whipping our ass? I didn't post till I got home and had some spare time, with nothing better to do. That is the case again this weekend also. We have been playing golf and entertaining out of town guests, which has kept me pretty busy. The fact that you have nothing going on in your life but this, is both sad and pathetic.

Also, I have never welched on a bet in my life either. Frank has and he should be embarassed about it. But insinuating that I would ever do likewise, is a baseless and ridiculous accusation. You have a lot of class FavreFAG-too bad its all low.

So what is Derrick Lee on? He had very few HRs last year, and now he is on pace for 30 or so. How many of Jim Edmond's HRs have look like popups off the bat, but have carried and been blown into the basket at Wrigley? Looks like the Cub fans wanna call out the Sox for this kind of stuff, but its OK to ignore it when it happens to thier team.

I'd rather my guy be known as "I dive for every ball" than "I don't run anything out," of which ARam gave us another shining example of in the 9th inning. I dont think he was more than 1/3 of the way down the baseline, then walked back to the dugout. Not that he would have been safe anyway, but if it was that 1 out of 200 plays that Carbrera or Swisher bobbled, with his lack of running he still would have been out by plenty.

Of course, I guess with Zambrano, Soriano, and Reed Johnson out, this Sox (potential) sweep is tainted anyway.

The White Sox, as an organization, from Chairman Reinsdorf on down do not tolerate the use of performance enhancing drugs.

Well, in the Baseball Tonite pregame, Joe Morgan was asked to expound on the Cubs and Sox pitching:

"Well, starting pitching is going to be the thing that wins it for whoever wins with pitching."

How, exactly, does he remain not only employed, but in the marquis assignment of the Sunday Night Game? Who does he have pictures of?

Sorry I've been away for a couple of days - I'm still counting all of the times that you Sox fan losers used the phrase "it's only June" when describing the Cubs sweep last week. It's amazing how much the chirping picked up in the last couple days. I'll get back to you again when I'm finished counting.

Enjoy the changing tides, idiots.....

Unless further explanation follows, this makes zero sense. Not surprising....

There are Cub fans on this board who have all but declared the team headed to the world series and then they have some trouble - whether it's with the Sox or Marmol finding the strike zone and it's all raining on the parade.

Elmhurst Steve wrote:
THE CUBS END THE WAIT IN 2008!! Yes, that is accurate. But the statement that the Cubs division sucks is ridiculous. It has the Best team in Baseball-The Cubs, the Cardinals at 42-29 and Milwaukee at 36-33. It's a very tough division. Now the A.L. Central in which every team has a LOSING record except for the Sox and the N.L. West, which has just 1 winning team, those would be examples of divisions that suck.

Glad you didn't have to wait long

Ummm, I was actually referring to this, where I was called out. You responded to my request that you find my prediction that Cubs will win the series with a post from Elmhurst Steve. You make no sense. Lay off the sauce, pal - tomorrow's a work day.

Ramierz has a cannon! He was safe, but you got backup umpires working tonight and they are going to give one to the home team.

Trammell needs more fire when arguing, but not much more or Larry Rotschild is your manager.

Sweep Revenge!

What a beautiful series this was for the Southsiders. Good starts from Jose and Buerhle, scoring runs in bunches, clutch HRs, great defense and bullpen work. Just awesome.

Was more than happy to see ARam have a nice big 0fer this series as well

Look at Pages 5-8 of the Cubs-Sox thread in the Cubs section. We were all laughing at Morgans expense all game long.

It's a good bullpen, but with the career years for Politte and Cotts coupled with the emergence of Jenks, 2005 was better.

This year's issue is that you never know what you will get from Massett in the middle and Dotel.

Not to mention the great season Dustin Hermanson was having before his body fell apart.

Congrats White Sox, and White Sox fans. The home teams won all the games, which is as it should be considering both teams records home and away. Now we can focus on our own respective divisional situations.
