Disappointed in this pairing. Doesn't sound like there's a lot of chemistry between the two. Part of it might be that Waddle sounds like he's mailing it in, just waiting for football season. It would help Silvy if they took less calls and had more guests with opinions (writers not athletes) since Waddle doesn't really care about much outside of the NFL.

How hard might it be to outdo Lawrence? Of course, Larry is just emce'ing a coherent pitcher, today

I've been lukewarm to this pairing in the past. I caught a lot of the show today and thought it was good. Waddle did better than I thought with the baseball talk.

I think they have great chemistry but the show is way too guest heavy. Answers are always filled with cliches even if you ask the tough questions, just seems like a waste. The show works for me, Waddle is silly and usually makes me laugh so I listen daily.

Sometimes I think they forget the radio motto "your audience changes every 15-20 minutes". The show is so filled with inside jokes and references to earlier interviews or convesations that you're lost if you didn't listen to the entire show. I like the show, but it does get a little bit annoying sometimes.

I think that this is the 2nd best show in the city, with MJH first but by only a bit.

I'd have to agree as well.

I think it's a solid show, there's just not a whole bunch of controversy like some of the other show's in Chicago. The Derek Rose interview was kind of weak, but that's what you'll get with a rookie...not really their fault. :|

Add me to that too.

I couldn't disagree with MartyDee more. First, I think the two have had great chemistry since show 1. Second, just because Waddle makes it look easy, doesn't mean he's mailing it in. Third, I know for a fact that Silvy cares about baseball just as much as football...if not more.

As the great Chuck Swirsky would say (according to people who've heard him): that's why there's vanilla and that's why there's chocolate.
