Yeah. I would be very disappointed if he is not with this club when the season starts. To save a year with the new agreement coming up in a few years anyway that probably will change the entire free agency/arbitration scenario to me is silly. Personally, I think that Madrigal can be delayed before joining the team but not Robert. Robert has matured into his body. Madrigal probably needs to thicken a bit to make in in the major league grind. That is just an opinion.

They would be huge. The Eloy money or $80M may be able to get that done. The Sox will have locked up 2 cornerstones for a decade for less than $170M.

I'm sure they will get an 8 year contract out of him that will grossly under pay him if he is actually good. Just like with Eloy.

Hopefully.

Maybe they should pay Robert $180 million to give locker room pep talks.

With the amount of times Robert gets hurt, he better quickly ink that deal. If I was Moncada, I would play it out.

Maybe they should. Nothing else has worked for them since 2008.

He is not the player I want. But they can afford that. I kinda would go to the Cubs about Babe Schwarber, but after the Eloy deal, doubt Theo ever trades with Pretty Ricky.

It sounds like Encarnacion is a done deal so there is your DH.

I'd scratch my head as Collins needs at bats but there is word they are in discussions to trade Mc Cann.

I would like the moves if they both occur. Mc Cann is here for the short term. Take the value if its there.

It’s ostensibly win now time. I don’t think Collins is going to contribute to winning at the major league level. I’d rather keep McCann.

If McCann was behind the plate 100+ game, I agree. I wanna see what Collins can do.

What happens when Abreu, Eloy or Yasmani need a day off? Are they getting ready to trade someone?

Why don't you keep that kind of shit on the Politics board? This is about baseball and has nothing to do with Obama or Clinton or Trump.

The phrase needs to be altered for these White Sox as it will be both win now and into the future

There has to be another move coming because there are just too many people for the same spot.

It really would be an excellent idea going forward. What is the status of Moncada and Anderson? Anyone know? YOu have to give credit to the Sox front office and the scouting organization for identifying these kinds of studs and spending this money after they make an assessment of the upside of players. 8) 8) 8)

Collins will probably stick as a left handed hitting DH/1B. But it makes sense to try and deal McCann, probably for pitching. I really hope that they give Mercedes a good look, though. I predict the guy will be an above average major league hitter for someone.

Collins is never going to be a catcher in the major leagues. He is way too stiff and has lousy mechanics behind the plate. His only chance is to hit his way onto a club as a first baseman/DH. McCann will be traded at some point but it probably will happen when spring training is over or early in the season. They could trade Mercedes instead but I doubt it.

Collins can’t hit major league pitching.

I doubt it. There will be competition for the utility type guys from within their 40 man roster.

He had like 90ABs. I don't think you can tell if he can or can not hit. We thought the same about Moncada.

There is going to be a lot of power in the lineup with Encarnacion.
