We can burry the Indians.

We have to face Sabathia and Lee so it won't be easy.

Tigers play the Twins 6 times this week. So we can gain ground on at least one of them.

As inconsistent as the White Sox offense has been, they can stick a fork in the Indians' season if they can possibly sweep these guys at U.S. Cellular Field. Other than Grady Sizemore at the top of their lineup, they've been injury-riddled and even more offensively challenged than the Sox. Besides, this could be the last time C.C. Sabathia and that crooked cap of his pitches in the division if Cleveland becomes a seller before the trade deadline...

Tonights game is the one we have to win. Floyd vs Sowers. Sowers is 0-3 with a 5.93 ERA in 6 starts.

Game 1: Floyd vs Sowers

Game 2: Lee vs Danks

Game 3: Sabathia vs Contreras

Hopefully Danks and Contreras can keep it close so we can get to their bullpen in those games 2 and 3.

If the Sox find a way to sweep the Indians not only will it put the final nails in their coffin, but it will more than likely push Sabathia on to the trading block.

I'm sorry. The Twins play the Tigers 7 times in the next 2 weeks. In between the Twins play the Indians 3 times.

Man, there really is a Sox/Cubs let down as a fan. I know these games mean more vs the Indians but it's just a let down. You're not on edge anymore.

It's a packed house at the Cell tonight and you don't feel that buzz in the crowd like you did the past 3 days.

The game just feels so different.

Result still looks like it will be the same though.

Hey!!! Elmhurst Steve has to be amazed. Back to back wins against lefties. That puts that poor record at 17-12.

Steve, in all his infinite wisdom, was pointed out as having that record wrong by me-- but of course did not admit it.

I told him that he needed to take off his CUbbie Blue blinders, because Ted Lilly did not pick up the win last Friday at Wrigley Field.

Another game where it's not a save chance for Jenks. I'm telling you, the last 20 Sox wins Jenks hasn't had many save chances.

Don't get me wrong, I don't care. I'll take 4 or 5 run leads going into the 9th.

It just goes to show you that some relievers get more chances at saves than others. The guy for the Angels - KROD - has 32 saves with the same amount of blown saves as Jenks. Jenks ERA is below 2.00 so he still deserves to be an all-star.

Papelbon and Rivera are the only two closers I can think of that I would definitely take over Jenks.

In this pen, Linebrink deserves it over Jenks.

Dye, Quentin, and AJ are all ahead of Jenks in my book too. And thats not a knock on Bobby.

The funny thing about Jenks is his WHIP is fairly high. He has let 1 or 2 guys on his a lot this year. But they don't score, obviously, by looking at his ERA.

I think Jenks and Linebrink both deserve to be all-stars.

Crede should go with the list you gave Favre Fan.

No 3rd baseman, in the AL, has more homers or RBI than Crede.

Well, Thorton is coming in for the cheap 1 out save. I'll bet if he gives up a hit to this lefty Jenks will come in for a cheap save.

Masset put it to a 3 run game. Masset has been strugling lately.

Crede should not be going to any all star game. He just made his 16th error of the season tonite. With his average falling into the 260s, and all the errors, he is costing himself lotsa dough in the free agent market.

You might be right. Maybe no all-star for him cuz of the errors.

Still, he's on pace for 30 HR and 90 RBI. He's gonna get 13-14 million per year in a 5 year deal by somebody.

One more thing. Floyd will get one more start before they pick the all-star team on Sunday. If he gets his 10th win they might take him. I think Danks should go before Floyd but he just doesn't have the wins. Not his fault.

Tigers beat the Twins. Lead is up to 2.5.

Like I said, it's great, as long as we win cuz we'll gain on one of those teams.

Hawk was right at the end of the game, though. Letting the Indians back into this game was the worst thing that could have happened. Don't anticipate a sweep.

The Saturday announcers said they should just hand him the Golden Glove after the diving stab of the Soto liner. Guess they didn't look at the stats. 8)

I'm not sure defense will cost him money. A low batting average will cost him more.

Where has that dumbass been? His baseball thoughts are comedy gold. Do you know how hard it is to be wrong about EVERYTHING?? He must be watching the frat boys with their shirts off in the bleachers during all those games he attends because he sure as hell ain't watching the games.

Another damn good outing by Danks without much support today. 1 ER, 8 IP so far. Its a damn shame this guy wont make the All Star game.

Wow... what a 2 out, game tying homer by Alexei. This kid has star written all over him. Way to put us right back in this.

Sox win! Wise with the key steal with two outs, and Cabrera gets the outfield hit to send him home for the walk-off RBI. Theres some fundamental baseball.

Nice!!!! Ramirez is gonna be an all-star. Kenny signed him for 4 years. So the Sox have him for 3 more years at a real cheap price.

I feel bad for Danks. He has the 3rd lowest ERA in the AL coming into today. It went down. When is the last time a guy, with the 3rd lowest ERA, didn't make the all star team. But, because he is only 5-4, he won't make it.

Anyway, hell of a win.

I don't know if Ramirez is a star in the making, but wow ~$4M over 4 years what a steal for a middle infielder with his skillset.

Thats the reason the Indians are dead, Joe Borowski can't close a game. Hawk and DJ were right, if the outfield was in 2 or 3 more steps, Sizemore would have had a play on Wise.

This team is clicking on all cylinders right now, and they are really fucking good. What a game.

Poor Danks still can't pick up a W.
