What is the argument against that thought?

Common sense.

I want you to make it.

For comedic purposes, of course.

True. We’re all biased in one way or another towards the Bears. Except Furious. He can be objective.

There is pretty much only one thing that I will give Nagy credit for this season. It is that he appears to have kept the team together and playing hard. That means something to me. If they fired Pace and kept Nagy, I personally would be okay with that for that reason alone. I think that Nagy knew how bad his offensive line was going to be this season and that was the reason why he didn't play the starters in pre-season. Nothing else really made sense as far as I am concerned. :| :|

If they bring in a new GM, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't try to trade Mack in the off season for a couple of high draft picks as the new GM tries to put a decent offense together. I'd say that Mack pretty much is one of the few Bear's players who would bring much back in terms of talent. I'd say Fuller would be valuable also and maybe Roquan.

That's mostly a function of the defense keeping the Bears in games. Trestman's undoing was giving up humiliating 50+ point outings. It's not quite as embarrassing when your offense is terrible.

Sure. I agree with that. But I've seen teams tear apart and quit on the field. This hasn't happened with the Bear's. At least NOT YET. And the coach should get some credit for that.

He simply wasn't all pro. He was still really good.

He wasn’t one of the 12 best Edge players. He was outplayed at that spot by multiple players in his own division, none of whom make as much money. He was good and he was paid as one of the best non-QBs in the league and didn’t come close to returning that value.

You don't honestly believe there are 12 better players at his position.

I do honestly know there were this year.

I do honestly know Za’Darius and Preston Smith were better.

You may need a few more Smith's.

Packers are certainly going to pay Kenny Clark, who is fucking terrible, a ton of money. Him plus the Smith's, it'll really be a spectacle to see how much cap space the Packers choose to tie up on the softest NFL players at their position.

Kenny Clark is fucking terrible player 14 games a season. The other two games he gets to play against James Daniels.

He just guesses. That's it. He never even beats anyone (incl. Daniels). The Bears are probably the most predictable team in the NFL, so its no wonder he looks best against us.

Mack is the only good thing about the soon to end Nagy era.

He’s been a bust and the trade set the Bears back years.

Your yearlong insistence on not understanding the point is appreciated.

Mack is better than what hypothetical first round pick would have been. That is why the first round pick from last year doesn't hurt. I would much rather have Mack than Montez Sweat.

Montez Sweat is better now

The (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky pick is what set them back years.

Most other moves set them back years. The Mack trade was inarguably good.

Someone should tell the 49ers to use him more than around 40 snaps a game then.

I'm sure it's actually a good thing that he has been moved to play on special teams too though.

Dude was a force of nature in Oakland.

Only took the Bears one season to muck things up.

I beg to differ.

Before this year, the Bears invested very little money in the QB position.

Kevin White, Leonard Floyd, Adam Shaheen, Duke Shelley, Hronis Grasu

Way too many misses
