The first weekend of interleague play Murph and Papy made a bet. $10 a game, Murph took the NL and Papy the AL. The AL won the first weekend by a game or two and the next Monday Murph was talking smack about wanting to extend the bet for the entire interleague schedule. Does anyone know if this happened? If so, Murph owes Papy $470 (there is still 1 game to play). With the exception of the cubs sweep of the Sox Murph hasn't talked much about interleague play (not surprising).

Pappy could use the money.

Murph ref'd this at the end of the July 3rd show. He made noises about the two Mikes and the two wives seeing if they could burn through $470 at Gale Street Inn.

Mike's gonna have to pay him in rupees to get up to $470.00-

Pappy said he's going to collect on the bet, just like he always does - at the Gale Street Inn for dinner.

Gambling is illegal - someone should contact the authorities.

The Pirates beat the Yankees last night so Murph 'only' owes Pappy $460. It's good to know Murph isn't a welcher but that was one dumbass bet. Especially for someone who portrays himself as a 'baseball expert'.

Murph portrays himself as whatever suits his purpose at that time to prove his point...other than his constant, "I've never been in the press box" theme...
