Gio is on par with Carrasco. Indians still one up on us. And there's the peskiness of their young guys' SUCCESS. They had numbers. All 3 of of them. Lopez and Cease FAILED. Like every other Sox fan, I believe there will be a turnaround, but when it comes to other teams, you have to look at their stuff critically and not meatballishly.

FF and Dolphin will be here shortly to complain about this.

The Sox are having a great offseason and it's just the beginning of January.

Outfielder Luis Robert and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a six-year, $50 million contract that includes two club options, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN.

Robert will begin the season in Chicago. No service-time manipulation necessary. Sox are gonna be good.

Awesome.

He'll be up on Opening Day.

Do something similar for Madrigal and get him up too.

Hopefully Robert stays healthy. This lineup has the potential to be really damn good.

Hard to judge for someone who's never played at the MLB level.

Not really. He's looked the part and everyone believes that will continue at the next level.

He got $26 million to sign initially. The key is the option year cost.

  No it's not. The key is that is he is here on Opening Day. He could be the best OF in this city by May 1.

Jaw Breaker wrote:

He appears to be the real deal provided he can stay healthy.
Quote:
Robert hit .328 with 32 homers, 92 RBIs, 36 stolen bases and a 1.001 OPS in 122 games across three levels in the minor leagues in 2019. He ended the season at Triple-A Charlotte, where he hit .297 with a .974 OPS.

Robert is the No. 3 prospect in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. He projects to be the White Sox's everyday center fielder.

He has generational wealth and hasn't even stepped into an MLB batter's box yet. I'm sure he will be fine.

I'm old enough to remember when people were mad that the Sox threw money to Timmy before he turned it around. Where have they gone?

He was probably screwed but I imagine knowing that he can help his family removes a lot of pressure.

Timmay is a great hitter. Still a butcher at SS. I don't recall teams with butchers at SS winning Championships.

He already banked 26 million as minor leaguer. I'm sure his family is fine.

Besides the signing of Robert, Sox are aggressively pursuing relievers including Steve Cishek and Will Harris.

See NY Yankees. Jeter actually sucked at SS and didn't deserve any of his Gold Gloves
