Hey Mac or Finji-

 I wish you guys would bring back "Closing Time" to end the show. It gives me closure while I'm listening. The current ending song (is it part of a "Stones" rif?) is just to brief. I'm guessing that you want to hold people over for the post game show, but I liked the way "Closing Time" fit in at the end. What do others of you think?

I believe it is part of a classic Rolling Stones guitar rift that "MJH" now end their show. If there are two signature bands these guys definitely enjoy rockin' to...The Stones and the bangin' drums of the late John Henry Bonham from Led Zeppelin top the list.

Christ, man. Closing Time is so damned cliche. Why do the same thing as 100,000 other radio shows?
No, you need something new and different.
Closing time... y'all must be crazy.

Metallica's Fade to Black is a much better choice.

Love "Fade to Black", but a little too depressing for an upbeat show. I think "Closing Time" was a staple of the old format.

How aboot "The End" by the Beatles, or to emphasize the transition from MJH to the postshow show, "The Show Must Go On" by Queen.

If I ever hear "Closing Time" again, it'll be too soon. I got so sick of it that I used to change the station before they played it.

I think Zep's "Bring it on Home" would be a good choice.

O.K. I think you're right on this one. "Bring it on home" could work well.

I use "Soul Kitchen" from The Doors for my lame ass college radio show. The last line of the song goes: "Well the clock says it's time to go now. I really want to stay here all night...all night...all night."

Closing Time is still played. When the boyz have no post-game show, it's played at 6PM.

Didn't the Score in its 820 days end with that?

It was always Sinatra - "My Kind of Town," with the brass ending - followed by the announcement that WSCR 820 was signing off - with someone in studio using the drop of a whip as I recall - then the transmitter went off and WBAP started rolling in.

Got to disagree with you on this. I liked "Closing Time" and thought it was a fitting fade out for each day's program.
