not sure whether I like that more or the fact that Purdue scored 37 points in an entire game today

Kofi owned the paint.

They just didn’t need him enough to play.

I would wait 2 weeks before you say too much.

Is Haarms going to improve in two weeks? I'm sure Kofi is. He improves every game. I hope we can get another year out of him, but I doubt it.

Haarms went for 26 points and 9 rebounds four days ago against Minnesota. Kofi went for 5 points and 9 rebounds on the same day against MSU. Did Kofi improve in 4 days?

Haarms, just like everyone else on the team, played horribly last night. I'm simply saying that you may want to wait until Purdue gets it's home game vs. Illinois before you declare a victory for Kofi in the worst offensive performance Purdue has had in 60 years.

Haarms went for 26 and 9 in a double OT game where the opposing center had a giant game against him.

Did Kofi have anything to do with Purdue's worst offensive performance in 60 years?

So what? Oturu is a great player. He is doing that to everyone.

Illinois as a whole played good defense and Purdue couldn't hit anything. I do not believe the scoring issues were because of a dominant performance by Kofi.

As I said, Illinois goes to Purdue in about 2 weeks. Let's see what happens then.

Ok JORR. Any analysis of what actually happens and not what could have happened is incomplete.

BRick, what JORR doesn't know--but what you and I know, my friend--is that the Boilers actually trimmed the lead to nine on two occasions. I mean, had they been able to take a few uncontested shots and had Zion--ah, my bad--Kofi not been filling up the paint on one end and shattering their confidence with mind-blowing dunks on the other, Purdue could shaved the lead to five or less. If that happens, it's anyone's game, ya know? Of course, the Illini's lead ballooned right away, but what matters--if I can take a page out of Colleen Kane's book--is what could have happened. This could have been a close game in some other universe, and perhaps if God willed it and sent angels and shit down there to help out.

Until then, let JORR have his little fun, clinging to reality as if it were a reunited lover. You and I, my sexy friend, will content ourselves with having our hands down the pants of Miss(ed) Possibility.

Not sure what point you are making there. Purdue got destroyed.

No one on either team had more than 6 rebounds in the game. I hope the Illini catch Mizzou in the Tournament.

Yeah a NIT matchup would be fun

Badgers starting 2.5 white guys. Racist much?

Ayo is probably ready for the pro league in Nepal.

The refs are calling a lot of cheap fouls on Illinois.

What the fuck. The Illini can't breathe on these fuckers without a whistle. When the teams are this evenly matched and the fouls are that lopsided the game is being called poorly.

Yeah, this has been frustrating. Cockburn on the bench, they go five minutes without a bucket

Great win....but damnit, those second-chance points and missed free throws hurt.

Big road win. Playing 5 against 8 all night. If this is the way Big Ten games are called it's not surprising that home teams are 23-4.

Also, I get irrationally angry whenever I see Robbie Hummel or even hear his name. Kid was in Assembly Hall every damn day and of course the Illini are too dumb to know he's better than anyone they're recruiting.

Scratch that last part. I'm getting him confused with the Cardinal kid. I hate all those Purdue guys.

He'd have looked good in an Illini uniform, that's for sure.

Good to see Ayo actually step up.

Where does Wisconsin get all these white dorks that look like they're in A/V Club and can shoot the lights? It's like an army of Ben Brust clones. Now they've got ones that are tall. That Peters kid from Evanston is going to Wisconsin or Purdue, isn't he?

Hummel's dad played tennis at Illinois and his grandfather was a professor though.
