guy has a 2 hour show, and he is using some of today to replay the Steve Stone interview he did on the show...yesterday.

(full disclosure: RotS only listens to The Score via podcast, and reading the feed description may not actually be what is going over the air but it sure seems that way)

For the first time in a while, I switched over to ESPN 1000 during his show on Wednesday.

He's always filled up his timeslot by replaying interviews from a previous show of his or other shows earlier in the day.

Don't forget the 6 minute rundown of what's on the show and how much fun they are going to have.

Before you know it - it's 2 o'clock ! Then you have to do a podcast talking about all the stuff you couldn't cover on the show.

It could always be worse. At least he doesn't talk about DeSean Watson, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid everyday.

He never seems to have enough content to fill more than 30-45 minutes, couldn't even come up with enough to make the Cubs manager/player content he was handed over the summer listenable.

I have mentioned this before. Aside from replays he also treats his show as a round up show of what has happened. At a time when every broadcast on earth knows less updates are needed in shows because of twitter, general internet etc. he doubles down. There is less update on Sportscenter even after a certain morning hour and his own station quit updates after mid morning.

He will lead his own way though straight into yesterday.

The new Illinois gambling expansion has lead to a noticeable push in gambling ads/content on the station. It would almost make more sense to put a gambling show during the current Holmes show as the station seems to be all in on gambling talk with even the legendary Danny Parkins being involved. It's lazy content (just reporting lines/numbers) which is right up the sabermetrics types alley and likely leads to increase ad revenue for the station for "Lock of the Week", type ads. This also opens up more time for Holmes to work on the Podcasts he's always pimping on his show while also freeing everyone from the Homes hosted "Grandpa Rossi", show where he can ask Ross deep questions about the calming aspects of adult coloring books.

:-o yep it is truly crazy. He's still treating it like the 4-5 hour evening shift.
